The hotel is massive! Not many people were there when we stayed, which was towards the end of the ski season. The staff were very helpful and very used to using Google translate. We asked to stay for an extra night, and this was no problem. Loved the jets in the onsen, great for massaging tired legs and back. Breakfasts were plentiful, but not much variety. We had a buffet dinner one night, then drove into the neighbouring town about 20 minutes away for dinner. The road up to the accommodation was a bit steep in sections with one 180 degrees corner. There was no snow on the road, so we were able to drive right up to the accommodation.
The facilities and carpets are a bit dated and tired now. Nothing wrong with this, particularly given everything is clean and tidy. Just an observation.

Good location. Even if it is quite a long journey to access the resort from Nagano (train, bus and then shuttle).
All inclusive with easy access to ski rental (easy and friendly) and ski pass.
Just in front the departure of a ski slope.
Onsen.
Front desk should speak English. Difficult to exchange.
Hotel looks like old. Nothing has changed since the 70’s.
Difficult to manage the temperature in the room.
Meal = buffet with basic foods. Restaurant closes early (19:30 with last admission at 19:00). Restaurant’s employees are very nice and helpful.
