We live in Florence and the weather was gorgeous and the kids were with friends so we went on a last minute countryside get away. I hesitated on booking La Bandita because it was a Marriott and I didn't want something corporate in the middle of Tuscany BUT this couldn't be further from the feel. I think it's still somewhat privately owned and operated by a cool American in the music biz and his wife or partner and its a minimalistic chic retreat with great staff, a wonderful trendy restaurant, a beautiful little garden and a great chill out lounge on first floor. Room was big and simple but gorgeous, great big bathroom and wonderful tea/coffee/drinks, smart TV, strong wifi, good design magazines etc. Definitely going back!!
The only thing that would stop me giving it a 10/10 is that I like a little exercise room in all of my hotels but I get that there simply isn't space in small townhouses in the middle of ancient tuscan villages !!

Modern comfort inside a historic building. Everything works perfectly from plumbing to shutters.
The stairs are a tad unforgiving if you are not a fully able person. But given the structure of the building I don’t see how you could change that. Not an issue for me but might be for some.
