The rooms here were lovely; they were like separate, individual dwellings. The rooms were on ground level and faced a nice green courtyard, with a little patio area outside of each room to sit in if you wanted. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with comfy beds, nice and clean linens and towels, and great natural lighting. The place was owned by a really sweet couple, one of whom spoke pretty decent English (though speaking some Spanish definitely helps here). There was a big security door between the courtyard area and the outside street, so it felt very safe and secure in here. This area also had a lot of cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby, so there was always something good to eat or drink within walking distance. Finally, the price here represented good value considering what you got for your money.
My only real issue was that by default they will clean every day, and unfortunately they will leave the windows open so that the floors dry quickly and the room is aired out. While I came to later realize that the owners were on the property the whole time, when I came to the hotel to find my window wide open I was terrified. I had to meticulously check my bags and luggage to make sure nothing had been stolen. After speaking with the owners about this they were certainly apologetic and in the future they asked if I needed the room cleaned, but a "do not disturb" signs for the door and closing the windows once everything is dry (or not opening them at all) would certainly help here.
The only other slight negative was that although the area was lively and nice during the day, at night it could sometimes feel a bit dark and deserted, while the streets a few blocks away were full of drunk partiers. Although I certainly wouldn't call this neighborhood unsafe, I also can't say I felt particularly safe and at ease in this area at night

Beautiful place! Sadly I couldn't stay longer, I highly recommend to come over here, especially if you want to see mariscal market like I did!
It is more or less quite, I guess during week days is better
There is a restaurant exactly in front of it, it is decent food!
I had to wait 15 minutes before someone checked me in, but it was fine I don't think this happen often
The owners are nice and kind and the place is clean
There is a beautiful garden outside
It is cold in the room during the evening so make sure to have more blankets If you need, they have plenty! It is the only thing:)
