One of a kind hostel and best service

Such a nice colonial house with remodeled facilities just next to Plaza Foch! The receptionists were extremely nice and attentive. Convenient and safe location even in the evening and easy to get Uber. Breakfast wasn't a big feast but was convenient and sufficient for me. The beddings were luxurious compared with other hostels I stayed in Quito. I have stayed at other hostels with much much worse conditions but even higher price in Quito so this hostel was such a pleasant surprise for me.

Wednesday to Saturday night the street karaoke could get busy (I didn't hear anything on Tuesday night). It was not that bothering for me and I just used ear plugs and slept well.

Great stay!

Eduardo was an excellent host and made you feel very welcome and at home! Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good : scrambled eggs, toast, and fruit, tea, coffee and juice

Loved this hotel! It's beautifully decorated, comfortable, and in a great location. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here!

Centrally located for restaurants, markets, and sites in Quito. The staff of the hotel was kind and very accommodating. The staff arranged late night transportation from the airport for us, and this was greatly appreciated.

Great and Friendly stay

Location is great, bars and restaurants close by and very safe. Host was super friendly and helped with any question.

Can be a little noisy especially on weekends since it is an old house.

Fantastic stay with fantastic staff!

The best part of the facility is the staff. Eduardo & Enrique are fantastic hosts. We booked a stay here on both ends of a trip to the Ecuador Amazon. On the first planned stay, there was an issue at the hotel prior to our arrival (a plumbing issue that was last minute, out of the hotels control, and could not be predicted), so we could not stay. However, they arranged for us to stay in a hotel next to them, and it was all sorted out for us (we did not have to do anything) and it worked out great! Enrique was there to greet us near midnight when we arrived and take us to the hotel. We were able to stay at the hotel on the back end of our trip and it was fantastic. Great location, safe, good breakfast, filtered drinking water available, as well as laundry services which we used. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Eduardo booked us a driver when we wanted to go to the Mitad del Mundo, and we ended up using that same driver to pick us up at 4:30am the next day to take us back to the airport, it worked out really well. We cannot say enough about the fantastic hospitality we received here. Highly recommend! A huge thank you to both Enrique and Eduardo!

Great location and rooms

Great location for tourist attractions. Lovely breakfast and nice rooms, especially the terrace area.

One of the members of staff was a little too attentive and called the room/knocked on the door many times throughout the stay which made me a little uneasy.

Beautiful building, friendly people, quiet nights - totally recommended!

We had a great stay in this beautiful historic building. The guys are extremely friendly and helped out with everything we needed. We even got tea before our day trip at 6.15 am. The room was big, comfortable, had a balcony and a nice blossoming tree in the front. We enjoyed breakfast and had good dinners in the restaurants around Plaza Foch and - although the many bars in the area - quiet nights.

Superb

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, had a real familiar feeling. Room was very big, clean, with a comfortable bed. Had my own little balcony. The house is antique, Wich is very beautiful. Breakfast was basic, but very tasty!

The street can be a little noisy.

Charm and great service

The hotel has old world charm and comfort. The location is great. Many entertainment spots in the area but the hotel is quiet. The staff are exceedingly friendly.

The wifi varies depending on where you are.

The house is beautiful, the bed was really comfortable, the shower is amazing, Eduardo was super kind and helpful. The breakfast was amazing!

Pleasant

Great location near to Plaza Foch with lots of options to eat, drink and go out. There is a tour desk company across the road where I was able to book day trips out of Quito. Approx. $2-$4 in Uber to get to the historic district. Front desk staff (Eduardo and Enrique) went beyond expectations to assist not just me but all guests. They made my stay every enjoyable and comfortable.

My room was clean but the bathroom was dirty. The shower curtain wasn't changed or cleaned before I stayed there and there was caked up soap and mildew on it. I didn't even want to touch it. There's a window in the bathroom and that looks like it's not been cleaned in months too. There's caked up soap and mold on it. One day it rained and when I looked in the tub it was full of brown water (i.e. rain that had come in from the window).

Big room with patio. Nice listening to rain on the glass roof. Good strong coffee. Extremely friendly staff No outside noise.

Room needs a closet to hang clothes.

The bathtub had a little problem and kept leaking water. Also the fireplace wasn’t operational due to them being re-open

Enrique was a phenomenal host and was very attentive to our every need. The place was nice and cozy giving it a modern touch to their traditional setting.

Due to them being reopened because of the pandemic, a few things weren’t functioning as they should. But that’s just what you expect from traveling during pandemic times still!
