Great hotel for a night out around lovely Shrewsbury

The price was fantastic at £98 per room per night. The location is brilliant. Very close to the town centre and carparking by the theatre (across the river) is well situated. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The room is supplied with coffee cups, which you can use for free refills at breakfast time which is good. Breakfast isn't included in the price but it's well worth the £6ish we paid.

You can hear the drum thumping from the nearby nightclub late into the night. Not really an issue for us but be aware

Great price and location

The staff were lovely, the location is brilliant.

I struggled to get in and out of the shower/bath, but that’s due to my ability rather than the facility.

Excellent value, with ideal location for food and drink

Great value for the room. It was a bonus being at a Wetherspoons. Food, drinks and the cost of them were all ideal. It was very quiet on a Sunday night

Clean, comfortable & good value but no lift!!!

Location and convenience of attached restaurant.

No lift - significant factor. If I was visiting again with an older person I would have to find alternative accommodation. I realise that you are not allowed due to conservation restrictions but given the ageing population and disability discrimination act I feel you should appeal the decision as it’s discriminating against your potential customers.

Good value nice hotel would use again.

Hotel was in a good position. Security was good. Very clean room with good facilities. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast in the bar was nice.

No major issues. with the hotel, room or facilities. Room had no view, opposite noisy takeaway but quietened down after 11 pm. Breakfast not included but available at the bar in the morning.

Great value and excellent location.

Great location on the river. Excellent value. Good communication from hotel about parking which is a short walk away, but there is a drop off spot right outside the hotel for heavy luggage or less mobile guests.

Ask for two room keys as you can’t get to the hotel part without one.

A clean comfortable room and a late bar, we would stay here again.

Breakfast was not included. Great location, opposite the river, a short stroll into town and a short walk down to the train station.

The bed was uncomfortably hot due to the matress protector.

disappointing as the hotel is in a good location . but beds need upgrading to proper size

bed was uncomfortable & only a small double. pillows were also uncomfortable on the third night the kitchen went out of action --was not told why but we could not get any evening dinner or next day breakfast. very noisy with other guests banging doors late night

Great character hotel, close to town centre.

A lovely old building, our room was large and very comfortable. Great recommendation for dinner from the receptionist.

No parking, the car park is now an outside seating area which we understand, but there didn’t seem to be a safe unloading luggage area.

Relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable

The room was lovely clean well laid out and modern enough for the money I paid. It was the perfect place for what myself and my partner were looking for. Which helped to ensure we had a wonderful time during our stay in shrewsbury

Spacious ,clean not bad for a Spoons

The room was spacious and clean and Tidy the bathroom was clean and the shower was really powerful The bed was comfy but not so much the pillow. Also the street was a little noisy as it was busy being Saturday night. Decent Weatherspoon as some are hit and miss. The price was reasonable and great location for where we needed to go.

Pleasant Hotel above a very busy pub.

Attractive location, easy to get to. The Wetherspoons pub provided great value drinks, reasonable food and a very good breakfast menu at a very good price.

We were in Room 202. It had everything it should have but all packed into a very budget sized double room, not much space to move. Bathroom was quite large with a very good shower. Our room overlooked the outdoor seating area, very nice for the drinkers but could be noisy as they are open until 1 am. I felt the amount we paid for the room (£100) was too much. You needed to eat and have few drinks to get some compensation for the room price!
