This is a good budget option in Punta Arenas. The room was comfortable with an area to hang some clothes which is rare in our experience. The kitchen area works fine for having breakfast and there are plenty of extras available.
The location worked for us but might be a bit out for some. It was close to the Mirador which was nice. The neighborhood is not the best but again, that didn't bother us.
The owner is a bit tired and I can see why she gets mentioned on the negative reviews. She seems like she can get cranky but we were ready and tried to be extra kind and patient.
The biggest issue is the front door set up.
You have to buzz in every time you enter. All the guests. All hours. Not only can you hear the buzzer in the room but this is a terrible system. For the owner as well! No wonder she is tired and the place is for sale.
There absolutely needs to be a keypad or other way to get in besides having her answer the door for every guest. Exhausting.

All was absolutely fine. We were afraid after reading the reviews, but no issues. Perfect for one night, close to the main square and bus stations.
