Downtown Cottage/Harbor Cottage - This charming town cottage provides a bright, one-floor, Air Conditioned, accommodation. Two guest bedrooms with luxurious beds and bedding to assure a good nights sleep! One double size and one day bed with pull out trundle, will sleep up to 4 guests comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen with a Lake Superior view, dish washer, beautiful dinner ware, dining area, a cozy living room with comfortable furnishings. Walk to Bayshore Park and enjoy the beach and water, watch the boats, shop the farmer's market for fresh produce and baked breads for your meals or enjoy the pizza made to order by the local ladies, in the wood fired oven. The Falling Rock cafe is just a block away for fresh coffee, hand dipped ice cream, friendship, old books and local entertainment. Munising is full of local artists who display their talents all around town during the summer. Amenities include TV with satellite, wifi internet service, gas grill, A/C The cottage will be immaculately clean upon your arrival. The cottage has a 'Pottery Barn-like style, with its' tasteful furnishings and interior decorations, which makes it irresistably inviting. We have limited parking here. We can park two vehicles max, no trailers or snowmobiles.

We had a wonderful stay in your cute cozy cottage. Everything was immaculate and very nicely decorated. We had everything we needed and loved the location . Lisa is excellent, she stayed in contact from the time of booking to checkout, often checking in to see if we needed anything. We would absolutely stay here again!

Cleanliness prevails. Absolutely clean throughout. Everything that 2 humans & their canine need. Location is ideal. Can easily walk to food, beverage, & local historical venues. Safe, quiet, and comfortable even though located on main thoroughfare. Highly recommend.

This cottage was perfect for my 3 generation girl trip (teenage daughter, myself, and my mom). The cottage itself was adorable. Bright, cozy, and enough space for all of us. Everything was immaculate, and the linens/dishes were brand new. We used the kitchen well, cooking dinner a few nights. While the location was a 3 minute walk to town, the outdoor space still seemed private being set back from the road. The view out the kitchen window of the lake was a bonus. I honestly cannot say enough about this property. I even told my mom I could live here full-time.

The property was small but clean and had everything you needed. Our only issue was lack of shades on most windows. It made it difficult to rest during the long days of summer, and made it feel like a lack of privacy in kitchen.

I booked for 6 nights May 3-9 2023 for my first trip to the UP. The cottage was clean and tidy and much as described in the listing. It is next to a larger house owned by the same people and there is a shared backyard with a shared grill, not that the weather in first week of May was conducive to spending time outdoors grilling as there had been a big snowstorm on May 1.
The reason I did not give 5 stars is that, despite comfortable double bed in the main bedroom, the gas heating was not a typical HVAC ducted system but a furnace in the living area with a directed fan to living room and kitchen which was pretty loud. After the first two nights, I got used to the noise.
The owners specifically requested in the house rules not to use the electrical baseboard heaters. I would have preferred to have the electric heating included in the cost rather than lose sleep over the noise of the quirky old gas heater.
Would I stay again - in warmer weather without their gas heating, yes.

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and had all the amenities needed for a 4 night stay. (For us, any longer we would want to have a washer and dryer). The location is ideal for going to see/do the many things the UP has to offer… snow shoeing, ice caves, dog sledding, the falls, and snow mobiling. I highly recommend staying here!

Everything was setup beautifully by Lisa from the check-in process to check-out. She was always willing to help with anything, periodically checking-in with us. Best vacation we had so far in a very cozy cottage with all amenities.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cozy Cottage very much! It was very clean, decorated very nicely and the perfect landing spot to enjoy the area. We mostly hiked among the many trails in the Pictured Rocks National Recreation Area (outstanding!), but we enjoyed being able to walk into town and enjoy a couple of the local breweries. Definitely would book again!

The house is on a main street and, despite this being a small town, the traffic noise was very loud. The bed in the main bedroom was incredibly small. (We’re not big people, and we are very close, but it was still uncomfortably small). The bedroom windows don’t have blinds, so we had to hang towels over them. (They kept falling down, so we were regularly re-hanging them). And the owners were rude when we left.

The downtown Munising cottage was everything we needed including a great location. Within walking distance to the docks and restaurants and a short drive to waterfalls, trails and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
It is very cute in person. We travel with a husky and golden and were grateful that dogs were allowed. The beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed.

We enjoyed our visit at this small cottage, which was perfect for our family of 3. We enjoyed the short walk to Dairy Queen and short drive to hikes in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore!

Clean and close to everything
My husband and I, and two of our adult children enjoyed three nights in this squeaky clean, adorably decorated cottage in the heart of Munising. This Dwntown Cottage is walking distance to restaurants, shops, coffee shops, ice cream, and Muldoon’s pasties! Also, just a short walk to Lake Superior, where we watched several beautiful sunsets. Pictured Rocks and other attractions are just a short drive away. (Watch speed limit!) All in all it was a great stay, our only regret was we didn’t stay longer!

Munising Cottage
The cottage was a great home base for exploring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! It was the perfect size for the two of us, very comfortable with all the amenities we would need. The property manager was very communicative and we were even able to check in early. Loved the decor and all the little extras. The only negative was perhaps put a shade on the bedroom windows for those who don't want to rise with the sun or prefer a little privacy.

The perfect winter retreat!
My husband and our dog visited the cozy cottage in January this year. It was the perfect home base for cross-country skiing and snow shoeing at Pictured Rocks! The hosts were very communicative, check-in/out was easy, and we appreciated that the cottage was dog-friendly. We would highly recommend!

It is in a shared yard and in the view of a larger rental house, so that is something to be aware of if you are expecting seclusion. We were mostly out exploring and so it wasn't a problem for us, but depending on how many people and cars are staying there it can feel a little crowded. Overall, worked well for us (4 adults and 2 dogs) and we enjoyed our stay in Munising!

Cozy convenience
The downtown cottage was our home base for our first trip to the Upper Peninsula. I'm really glad we chose Munising as our base to visit the Pictured Rocks area and the cottage was an excellent location. We were able to walk easily to downtown locations, including our pictured rocks cruise and the grocery store. Everything else was an easy drive. Sand Point beach sunset swimming was our hands down favorite. The cottage is small to be sure but had everything we needed for our family of four. We were able to make breakfasts and lunches and had a nice spot to enjoy our various takeout options.

Great Location and Super Clean!
This was one of the cleanest places I have stayed in. The cottage was super cute and had everything we needed and more. Within walking distance of many restaurants and stores, as well as the boat tours. Short driving distance to Pictured Rocks, beaches, and kayak tours. We really enjoyed our visit.
