It suited our large family gathering with plenty of rooms for everyone to stay. We did get to see a family of bears and enjoyed watching them. It had everything we needed and beautiful views!
4.0
First and foremost, Ed, the property manager was very accommodating and quickly resolved any issues. I would recommend this location for large groups.
Pros: you cannot beat the view, and seeing Bears was a highlight. The long table was perfect for our large family and there was plenty of space, dishes, beds, etc for 22 of us. Loved having 3 refrigerators and freezers.
Cons: When we arrived for check-in, the outside was in disarray, and we had to wait outside for a half hour as repairs were being done in the upstairs bathroom and the hot tub.
We were unable to use the washing machine because the door was broken, but Ed was quick to have a repairman first thing the next morning and immediately took our dirty, wet towels and provided us with fresh clean towels.
Although the Xmas tree was beautiful half of the lights were not working and there are things that could use “updates” including the mattress in the downstairs full bedroom, the sofa bed mattress is old and stained, the bunkbed in the upstairs bedroom squeaks horribly all night when you move.
Although there were plenty of pots and pans and dishes, there are several items that need to be replaced/updated - the knives were very dull.
The drive up the mountain was a bit scary, but was easier each time. All in all it was cozy and Ed is exceptional when it comes to resolving any issues and also offered us a late checkout.

Our whole family was able to come together in this cabin and have a wonderful time for Christmas. Lots of room and parking just didn't like the road up to the cabin. If we are to do this again we will reach out for this cabin again.

The cabin was great and so was the owner.

House was just perfect for our large family and the views were awesome
5.0
House was well appointed and supplied. We had enough beds and bathrooms for the 10 of us. View was gorgeous and we even had a visit from a black bear. He seemed very comfortable around the house so I think he was a frequent visitor. Only negative was that the road to the house was very hard to see and the drive up was interesting. But once you got there it was beautiful.

Ed was a wonderful host. The property was clean & spacious. It graciously accomdated our large group of 16. We all came together from several states to celebrate our family matriach's 75th Birthday. We had plenty of room. The views were the most breathtaking of all. There are neighborhood black bears who like to come and dine on leftovers. Lol. Ed, gave plenty of notice about them. We feel badly that they are a little cheeky and mess up Ed's wooden stairs leading up to the trash bin, but nothing new to Ed. Our family enjoyed our long weekend very much. Thank you.

The best part about this cabin were the beautiful views! They were breathtaking!

You will find no better views than the lodge on Kristi's Place! Phenomenal panoramic post card! Beds, furniture, kitchen, bathrooms all more than adequate. Decks with views, outstanding. A fire pit for evenings that are unmatched with a backdrop from heaven. Ed was an outstanding host and extremely responsive with anything we needed. 5 Stars earned, you will not be disappointed.

The property was as described. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 18. The house had everything we needed from bedding, pots/pans to linens and towels. The views were just amazing! The fire pit was perfect for all of us to sit and enjoy. We had daily visitors that kept us on the lookout every time we came outside. 🐻 Ed was very responsive on all of our communication.
PHS Class of 82 was very pleased with our stay! Awesome memories were made!!
Thank you!

Everything was as advertised. View of the mountains was fantastic, 8 minute drive to groceries, Gatlinburg, or a liquor store. We even got a brief visit from a group of 3 playful bears, which was a real highlight of the trip.

The cabin was beautiful with great bedrooms, updated bathrooms, and a perfect view of the smokies! Ed was very communicative and responsive!

This was our 3rd time visiting Gatlinburg. We love the area. This house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room, and the views were splendid. The house was a great location to both the town of Gatlinburg, and tp Pigeon Forge. The bear sightings are always a great thrill. The owner was awesome to work with and communicate with.

Fantastic place with an awesome view. Worked well for us as a base camp to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. First day in, we were hit with a storm that knock some trees down on power lines. Power out for roughly 3-4 hours. Got to spot mama bear one day. Only one drawback was that the Community Center that we were going to use as a rainy day backup was closed for annual repairs, so we need a plan c later in the week.
Ed was great with a quick response to all questions.

The Lodge was amazing! We were so surprised by all the complimentary items like toilet paper, trash bags, etc… We loved all the daily visits from the bears and even saw a bobcat a couple times! We loved the close proximity to everything as well. We will definitely stay again!

The view WAS truly amazing, with beautiful variations according to time of day and weather. We enjoyed seeing at least two different bears and a gorgeous indigo bunting in person for the first time (bring binoculars!).
We were a little concerned about the steep gravel road, but it held up fine even after 4.5 inches of rain in one day! We didn’t venture out that day, but we enjoyed the games and the big TVs. The only time the new internet faltered -- and only intermittently -- was during that day with lots of thunderstorms.
We appreciated the two dining tables and the very well-equipped kitchen with 3 refrigerators, although it would have been nice to have cake pans (we left some disposable aluminum foil pans for others).
The 2 master bedrooms & baths upstairs were spacious and lovely. Some of the 7 downstairs rooms were much smaller, but still adequate. Between the open great room, loft, and decks, there was plenty of space for our large extended family. The air conditioning worked well, and there was plenty of hot water.
There was something for everyone to enjoy nearby. We felt fortunate to catch the last day of the huge Craftmen’s Fair and to see full waterfalls after a big rain.
Ed was very responsive to our questions & took care of our needs promptly. He made our 1st mountain vacation very enjoyable & comfortable.

If you’re looking for a beautiful view of the mountains, this is the place for you! It’s truly a million dollar view! Perfectly located with easy access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We loved the large table! It was our gathering place for meals and games. Also had plenty of room for 18 of us to sleep comfortably. Ed was very responsive to all our questions and helped as needed.

This property has awesome views of the mountains around Gatlinburg. It is also conveniently located close to town and a short drive to Pigeon Forge. Our host Ed, was excellent and easy to work with. The road to the lodge is a little steep, but we pulled a trailer with a Harley on it and parked it at the lodge. We then rode the Harley down and back up a couple of times without much issue.
The rooms are large and there are lots of space to spread out in the lodge. While there, we saw three black bears that added to the experience. Our family and friends that stayed all said they would definitely stay here again if in the area.
We visited Anakeesta, which you can see from the lodge on the far mountain. While over there, we actually easily could see our lodge and it was much higher on the mountain compared to the others.
The location is great as it is only minutes to downtown Gatlinburg and about 18 minutes to Dollywood.

Extended family of 21 and was wonderful in every way, extremely delightful stay. Great mountain lodge feel. Lots of room, very comfortable, clean. Ed, the host, communicated extremely well and was very helpful-could not ask for a better host. Spectacular views and very serene. Three refrigerators so plenty of room for food and beverages, so no problem storing frozen veggies, ice cream, frozen pizza and fresh fruits, fresh veggies, fresh meat. Great grill. Decks have outstanding views (also inside views are outstanding) and the porch swings are a very nice feature. Use the fire pit, a lot, and it is very big and lots of chairs to pull up around it for great conversations. Kids and adults had wonderful time in the hot tub and it was well maintained and clean. Nice large and plush towels. The bear watching was great good fun. The grandkids had plenty of room to be off having fun. Super televisions, including the very large one in the main room. The two large dining room tables worked very well for us so that plenty of room for eating and also to set up games and jigsaw puzzle. A/C worked splendidly. Never a problem with hot water running short. We could not have been more pleased and the description of the place was spot on accurate. Exceeded every need and expectation.

The Lodge was lovely, just as depicted in the pictures. Plenty of room, (plenty of bathrooms), just about every kitchen appliance you could ask for, comfortable, with great views. The resident bear came to visit a few times, which was great fun.

Cabin had plenty of bedrooms/baths for our 11 person crew. 2 great tables for games/meals and a pool table upstairs. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful porches overlooking the mountain. Ed ( property manager) was so easy to get ahold of, and even gave us heads up when bears were sighted nearby. Would stay again if coming to the area.

This house is incredible! From the nine bedrooms which allowed our party of 16 to have their own bedrooms with wide screen tvs and bathrooms, to the fully stocked kitchen, perfect temperature hot tub, swings on the decks and the campfire overlooking the best views of the Smokey mountains, we couldn’t have asked for more! Making our Memorial Day weekend stay even more memorable was a visit from 3 bears one evening as we sat around the campfire! One we watched as she opened our car doors. Fortunately we had no food inside and she did no damage and was on her way with a little coaxing from our son. We learned to keep our doors locked for the rest of our stay. So if you have a large group and want to have a vacation you will never forget, this is the place!

Staying at this beautiful cabin in the North Carolina mountain was so relaxing!! The panoramic views from large windows were breath taking. The fact that we had chance to see bears, bob cat and animals in their natural environment was amazing. Mr Bates was a wonderful host easy to communicate with and really went out of his way to answer any questions and help if needed
Our family had a wonderful time visiting Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cates Cove, Anakeesta. Thank you for a wonderful time❗️

We had such a wonderful stay at this lovely home with the most incredible view of the Smokies!!! We were mesmerized by all the different views throughout the day.
We stayed here for a work retreat and found it to be a good spot for activities and relaxing. Lots of beds and bathrooms made it easy to sleep 15 adults throughout the home. The owner made checkin and all communication super easy. Would love to come back and stay again!

The space was very limited for the children to play. It rained 2 days so we were very close. The amount of bedrooms was great.
The BEARS (6 OF THEM) were both scary and exciting. The views were amazing. We will definitely be back!!

The location was perfect for hiking and heading to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Close to many activities in the area. The kids enjoyed the hot tub every day. Ed was very responsive and had good suggestions for activities in the area. Thanks for a nice space for our family to spend the week together.

Beautiful location. Loved the privacy, close to points of interest. We had 22 in our party and had plenty of room. Everyone enjoyed it from the youngest to the oldest.

Great place for a reunion. Beautiful fire pit overlooking the mountains. The great room feels like a lodge. Very nice kitchen and counters and 2 large tables and comfortable seating around the real fireplace. We ended up with 20 people and had lots of space for big sit down meals. Also, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms so plenty of privacy. Only cautions are the road is quite steep but manageable with front wheel drive and the area is on a steep mountain so not a great place for a toddler to run around outside.
