Situated in Sierra Nevada, this charming cottage for $248 per night is a great option for your next break. Amazing location and breathtaking views! Nestled in the coastal foothills just off California Scenic Hwy 46 West - exactly halfway between the quaint artist village of Cambria (10 min) and gateway to the spectacular Paso Robles/Templeton wine region (just outside your door). Newly remodeled cottage from the ground up. Enjoy top of the line furnishings, amenities and touches that one would expect from an artist. The large master bedroom is a Southeast Asian retreat with unique pieces from Nepal and Thailand. The queen bedroom takes you back to early California. The kitchen is fully stocked and has granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Relax in privacy on the patio overlooking a vast farming valley below or tuck yourselves back in the shade of the oaks and bay trees off the rear patio. For the safety of our guests during COVID, we have increased our minimum stay. We We also try to reserve 1 day for cleaning between guests. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. This property is a little haven away from civilization. It is quiet, peaceful, cozy, and comfy, and it is very lovely in all the details and in how much care and love was put into this cottage.

We loved this house away from the busyness of town. It was perfect for a restful weekend. We enjoyed a fire on the patio, the views of a vineyard, and watching the sunrise while drinking coffee!! Will return in a heartbeat!

We stayed for 4 nights in September 2023. The cottage is wonderfully located in a peaceful country location and offers spacious accommodation and a comfy bed. From this location we visited Cambria and the Pacific Coast Highway northwards, Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. Moonstone Beach is particularly recommended. This time around we did not do wine tastings but the choice of vineyards available is huge. We recommend this cottage and would definitely stay again, if in the area.

We stayed at this property April 27-30, 2023. The property was as lovely as the pics! Perfect location between the coast and the town made it easy to get around. We had brought a trailer with us for some antiqueing and Lisa was very helpful with that. King bed was so comfortable and the outdoor furniture made it easy to relax and refresh!

The property is amazing! Great views, secluded yet positioned half way between Cambria and Paso Robles. Dozens of wineries within 15-20 minutes. Interior of home has everything you will ever need. The King bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on away from our home. Enjoyed a family of deer just outside the kitchen window one morning.

The location was perfect for the activities we were planning. It is close to many wineries, a short distance to Paso Robles, Templeton, Cambria, Cayucos and Atascadero to mention a few. The weather didn’t cooperate for us to take advantage of the outdoor living areas. Instead we were able to relax in the comfortable living area and enjoy the solitude of this lovely location.

Our stay at The Artists' Cottage was just perfect! We have stayed here numerous times and our dream was to stay for a few weeks. The perfect vacation. It was relaxing, a gorgeous setting, great and helpful hosts, and we were surrounded by superb wine and food. We loved the seclusion of the cottage, yet being close to Paso, Templeton, Morro Beach, Cambria, and SLO to have many varied experiences. We hope to be back soon.

All house details are well thought out to maximize comfort, convenience and peacefulness. The decor including art and plants were beyond our expectations. Parking and lighting make for safe and easy access. Wide range of activities and landscapes are within a half hour. We were fortunate to have experienced the Artist’s Cottage.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Lisa and Randy's cottage. It has beautiful views and is very comfortable and well-appointed, decorated with a keen aesthetic sense. Good location midway between Cambria and Paso Robles. The outside area is also well set up to enjoy the outside. We hope to return one day!

My wife and I again thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vineyard Cottage. It was interesting to experience a wide range of weather while we were there. Christmas Day was like a pre-summer day filled with sunshine which almost made us forget what time it year it was. As always, the setting and the comfort of this cottage are second to none. We enjoyed our hikes on the beach, wine tasting in Paso and creating wonderful dinners at the cottage at the end of the day. A tremendous storm came in on New Year's eve which was more than spectacular; however, our gracious hosts, Lisa and Randy, made sure we had everything we needed in case of a weather or power emergency. Not only did we feel safe and comfortable, but wonderfully spoiled by our hosts. To say we had everything we needed for our visit, would be quite an understatement. We cannot wait to return this spring.

Incredible. While it’s always tempting to keep secret something so good - that just wouldn’t be right. Lisa and Randy have created an oasis for their guests and from the moment of arriving, it’s clear that this is a very special place. Fabulous views, gorgeous interior and exterior furnishings - all in a natural environment. This one is truly paradise. Consider yourself one of the fortunate if their paradise is available for your stay.

We’ve traveled to Paso about once to twice a year for the last 10 years. This was our most relaxing trip yet. Lisa’s place is in an ideal location if you want to be 20 min from any destination and still feel like your in the middle of no where, 20 min to the beach, 20 min to town. Loved watching the sun rise over the ridge every morning to light up the autumn colors. Wish we could have stayed forever!

We enjoyed our stay as much as we did the first time . We discovered new perks. We appreciated the filtered water system at the kitchen sink. It may have been there in March but for some reason it stood out this visit. The bed continues to be comfortable. We can never get tired of the view.

Must be the best porch view ever. Loved sitting out over the fire pit watching the sun go down. Your cottage had everything we needed and more. This was the perfect meetup spot with our Bay Area friends. Hiking, biking, wine tasting and good food. Can’t beat any of that! Thanks so much. Can’t wait to be back.

Cottage was so inviting and homey. All the amenities were there plus more. Front porch fire pit was wonderful. Scenery and scenery was a major plus. Cottage is right in the middle for access to Cambria and Moonstone Beach and vineyards galore. Best time and got lots of peaceful, relaxing time too. We'll be back. Thank you !!

My husband and I have stayed at Lisa and Randy’s cottage several times over the last 10 years. This time we were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We love the location, 1/2 way between Cambria and Paso Robles, the quiet restful solitude, and the views. They have done a great job decorating the cottage, both inside and outside. They are wonderful hosts. We are looking forward to our next trip.

We decided to extend our stay so we could enjoy the evening/night onshore breeze. Our main stay was during the heat wave and the new A/C was a godsend. But it was nice to finally turn off the A/C, open the windows, and enjoy the crickets and cool breezes.

Quiet area and beautiful, calming views. Close to Cambria, Morro Bay and central Paso Robles. I only drove to Cambria as I missed last few years. Grounds are lovely and cottage cute and comfortable. My only issue…beds are way too tall for me, so awkward getting in and out. Maybe step stools for us older, arthritic and short people. Enjoyed my change of routine. Owners very responsive to questions.

Beautiful property, lovely view and outdoor spots to enjoy. We appreciated the ceiling fans in the bedrooms and the bbq and outdoor fire pit for when it got a bit cooler in the evenings. Check in process was easy, and easy check out. Only negatives (if you can even call it that) were that from the front porch you can get a lot of road / traffic noise as it is near one of the key roads people drive to and from vineyards, there weren’t many stemmed wine glasses (and we had brought wine home from vineyards to enjoy each evening) and in the morning we tried to eat outside on the front porch but any food in the morning attracted lots of wasps so we had to eat inside each morning. That said, these were all minor inconveniences and we ate outside each night, and the road noise may have been more audible given it was breezy in the afternoons, causing the noise to be more pronounced than it actually was. We loved our stay, it was perfect for two couples, and would happily return!
