Great location! Less congested but centrally-located. The hotel and our room were very clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful!
Nothing really. The tram does run right by the hotel so there is a bit of noise. Fortunately, it doesn’t run all night and my sound machine app muffled the rumbling.

The location is fantastic. Right in the heart of the canal district, and very easy walks to the sightseeing destinations. Our taxi dropped us at the door, there's a metro stop about 50 steps away, and we hopped on a canal boat tour across the street. The staff was extremely courteous (especially since none of us spoke their language) and accommodating. The rooms are much larger than we'd expected, and they were able to make sure one of our travelers had easy access to the elevator.
The phone in one of our rooms didn't work, which made things a little tricky for us, and their tech support staff didn't work on weekends. That's circumstantial, so shouldn't be a deciding factor for choosing or not. I'd absolutely stay here again.

We booked the 'small double canal room' and it was much larger than expected. The room still had space for both of our suitcases, included a mini fridge, a good size bathroom and a wardrobe. Exceed expectations for this particular type of room. Location was also phenomenal and easy to walk throughout all of Amsterdam from the Hotel.
The room was slightly outdated, but not dirty. Could probably use some updates, but everything was still very clean! The bathroom looked to be recently redone and this could be done to the rest of the room as well.

Everything about our stay was exceptional — from the location and the beautifully appointed room to, above all, the outstanding staff. The team at reception, maintenance and breakfast could not have been more welcoming, attentive and hospitable. Their level of service was truly first-class.
Although check-in was officially from 3.00 pm, our room was already prepared for us by midday, and we were even kindly offered complimentary breakfast on arrival — such a thoughtful and generous touch.
Our Junior Suite was situated on the front corner of the hotel, giving us the most wonderful views over the city and canal. From our windows, we could watch visitors happily taking photographs on the charming bridge below, surrounded by beautiful flower displays and the quintessential Amsterdam canal scenery. It really was picture-perfect.
The bed deserves a special mention as well — quite simply one of the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced in a hotel.
The location could hardly be better. The Nine Streets, or “De Negen Straatjes”, with their delightful independent boutiques, cafés and shops, are just around the corner, while Dam Square is only around a ten-minute walk away.
A truly memorable stay with exceptional hospitality, comfort and location. We will most certainly be returning.
