Wat een fijne plek! Het hotel ligt in het rustige dorp Evergem, op ongeveer 20 minuten rijden van Gent. Eigenlijk vond ik dit veel leuker dan een hotel midden in het centrum: heerlijk rustig, veel groen om je heen en je kunt je auto gewoon gratis op het eigen terrein parkeren.
Het is een mooi en charmant landhuis met een grote tuin en veel natuur eromheen. Bij aankomst werd je meteen begroet door een familie ganzen die rond het huis liep. Erg leuk, daar word je vanzelf vrolijk van.
Ik verbleef in de Suite. Die was ruim, schoon en heel sfeervol ingericht, met een heerlijk bed.
Ook de gastheer en gastvrouw, die het hotel zelf beheren, zijn enorm sympathiek en gastvrij.
Als je Gent wilt bezoeken maar liever niet midden in de drukte zit, is dit echt een heel fijne plek om te verblijven. Ik kom hier graag nog eens terug.
Eigenlijk niets. Ik heb een heel prettig verblijf gehad en kan weinig concrete verbeterpunten bedenken.
Behalve de foto's, die kunnen beter, want de kamer is mooier dan op de foto's op Booking.

The house has got character. It is an old property and we had the appartment. The hosts were lovely and the area was beautiful. The hosts were the best part of the stay but its a shame they are moving on. Hopefully the new owners will be just as good.
There were too many mosquitoes and make our stay uncomfortable. The owners did help by providing mosquito repellants but as there was no air conditioning, it was a choice between keeping windows closed or bearing the bites. There are no hot water facilities in the room and no lifts to the 2nd floor so not fit for everyone.
