L'hôtel: le charme du lieu et des bâtiments, le calme, la qualité de l'accueil, le parking (avec la possibilité de recharger un véhicule électrique).
Le restaurant: une proposition prometteuse mais pas de carte et seulement un menu avec deux plats possibles. Or, il manquait plusieurs ingrédients essentiels dans le plat de poisson (asperges, jambon cru) sans que nous ayons été prévenus à la commande et sans aucune excuse par la suite.

The staff at the hotel are excellent. The service at the wedding was very good and the food at the wedding was lovely. We also had dinner one evening - the food was simple but tasty. The courtyard area was perfect for drinks or dinner while we were there as the weather was fantastic. Breakfast was basic but plentiful.
Our suite was extremely dated and tired. There was no room on one side of the bed so one person had to climb over to get into bed. The sofa springs had gone so the sitting area was not comfortable, the carpet is very faded and the bathroom while clean was very basic. We stayed a couple of nights and the cups and glasses we had used were not cleaned during the room service, the tea and coffee was not replenished.
there is building work and our room had a view of construction barriers rather than country views.
While the hotel is old and that is its charm the furnishings and facilities in the room need a radical overhaul for what is an expensive room rate even taking into account that Norway is expensive. Previous nights in Stavanger were much cheaper in a lovely hotel with many facilities.
