Superb

Although they didn't have an iron that I could borrow, one of the employees was kind enough to iron my suit! It was such a lovely thing to happen.

Good location, and comfortable bed. As long as you're spending time outside this is a good choice.

Good location to the central rail station in a hip neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and nice shops. Cyclist friendly with a place to lock my bike off the street. The room was small but did have a window and was clean. Bathroom also was clean with a good shower.

If it would have been hotter a fan would definitely be needed as the room is very small and the window only opens a crack. Would be good to know in advance the room size and window situation. As the room is so small a lounge would be nice for bad weather as sitting in the room is not really such a nice option.

Very nice, quite, comfortable hotel in the perfect location

Very nice, quite, comfortable hotel in the perfect location - nice older quarter with tons of restaurants and shops. Walking distance to main places, central railway station (5min) and Miniatur Wunderland (30min). The room was big enough to accommodate table and chairs. The lady at the reception was very helpful and kind. Will definitely stay there next time!

While shower is very good, curtain is not practical. Glass walls would be definitely better.

Excellent location (close to the main station, near cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, good public transportation), rooms are spacious/Altbau), very clean, good wifi

staff a bit impolite, walls thin - rooms are good for a short stay! also, no kettle available, as was stated on the booking, which was all right for a short stay, but for alonger one would have sucked

Just few minutes walk from Hamburg main station. Additional blankets helped us in winter time.

Shower was not easy because of shower curtain. It folded toward me many times, and I moved to corner. So, I felt that the shower place was small. Because of sunday checkout, we could not store our baggage to information desk.

Great location and price. Close to shopping, coffee shops and restaurants.

Great location, very close to the main station. I had a single room, it was pretty basic and it's not modern but it was comfortable and good for the price. It was also very quiet. It's close to lot of a cafes and restaurants.

Fantastic find, we’ll be back.

Fantastic location, close to central station with restaurants and shops a few doors away if you need anything. The room itself was clean, warm and quite spacious, perfect for a weekend away.

The pillows, although great quality, were very soft, but that’s a personal opinion.

We had booked two separate nights on the way and back as a stop in a longer train travel. We had asked for a baby bed for both nights, as we were bringing our one year old. The first night unfortunately the baby bed hadn't arrived and sleeping with him our bed was not an option. But the woman at the reception arranged for us to sleep in a (better) hotel right around the corner, so that was great service.

The knob of the shower was stuck in a very hot position. I talked to the receptionist about it, but he said you just needed more force to turn it. I didn't believe him though, as I almost broke the knob trying to turn it.

Good value for money in the centre of Hamburg.

Location near the station therefore easy access to airport, had everything we needed for one night. A good night's sleep. The key pick up system worked well. Good size of room.

Late night there can be a bit of noise from the street. The room is basic but has all you need. The outside door is heavy and needs to be painted and the entrance area is a bit drab so just needs a bit of cosmetic work to make an improved first impression.

Exceptional

Our room was really comfortable and clean. Very quiet at all times which we loved. Location was excellent. The man in reception was really nice ,he let us stay on in the room when we had a late fight. Thank you ,we really appreciated it. Muriel ,Ireland

Very convenient and comfortable for a short stopover. Staff was very friendly. We arrived late and the reception was closed, but the lockbox system for the room keys worked perfectly. Cleaning was immaculate, beds comfortable and our rooms very quiet. Thank you!

One of the rooms smelled faintly of cigarette smoke.

Good place in Hamburg with wonderful people

I really loved the staff - friendly, cordial and welcoming. They had no problems with our chaotic schedule (we arrive at 20:00, later we will be there at 10:00 - could we check-in earlier). Absolutely we were pain in the neck tourists but Linda and George, whom with we had contact, with a big smile and kindness did their best to make our stay perfect. I also liked the location. Although it's St. Georg (rather not the best district of Hamburg), Alpha Hotel was a quiet, calm and peaceful place where we could have rested. I recommend this place to everyone who does not intend to pay hundreds of € for stay in Hamburg. With pleasure I will return to Alpha again.
