Excellent location, right in the middle of the city! The staff were helpful and friendly. Very safe and convenient underground parking - gets the car off one's hands and enables exploration on foot.

Central location, in a vibrant street with good selection of local restaurants and very near to the main train station.
Our room was meticulously clean, comfortable & quiet.
The breakfast choice & quality was excellent. Stayed 3 days, including on my birthday. Without mentioning this the hotel staff laid out a nicely decorated reserved breakfast table for my wife & I with a birthday card, a complimentary half bottle of prosecco & a card from Sabine, the manager. This was unexpected & much appreciated!
Would definitely stay again at Hotel Senator if we visit Hamburg again in the future
Some room fixtures perhaps a little dated, but everything was in good working order. The hotel does not claim to be a 5 star business hotel & accommodation was perfect for our needs.

Having arrived from a 21 hour flight, the room was a sight for sore eyes. Comfy beds, good heating and a decent bathroom made for a great first night in Hamburg. Breakfast wasn't of the range of larger hotels, but still had a great variety of choices, and the enclosed balcony dining area was lovely. Easy 5 minute walk from the main train station, the lake and shopping/restaurant areas.
No dislikes - very nice little hotel.
