Hotel Hangelar

Friendly and kind staff. The room was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast. Dining in was excellent.

Staff extremely friendly and went over and beyond my expectations to help regarding my food restrictions. I had the apartment which is spacious and well appointed. Everything is well kept and very clean. It was very hot and they put both a desert cooler and a ventilator in the room. 5 minutes' easy walk to the centre with shops, pizza etc.

There is a sort of walk in closet but it not comfortable to use, the hangers high and below it piles of things so that I could not hang dresses properly. The hotel lies on a quiet street BUT, behind it is a big street which is very loud with traffic. It didn't bother me but it did mean having the windows closed to that side. Also consider they do not have an elevator so I had to trudge up to steep stairs. It was my mistake for not looking into it when I booked, but it might be a good idea to somehow note it on the hotel's page.

Quiet location, good breakfast.

We were there during a heat wave and the rooms could have did not cool off until late at night.

As it was a German holiday, the Hotel in it's wisdom had closed the kitchen. We were told that most other restaurants would also be closed. But the lovely young lady in reception rang around and found another hotel that had not closed their kitchen! Thanks to her we had a lovely dinner in that restaurant, which was much needed after a full days traveling on a motorcycle in very hot weather.
