Hotel Suisse

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent, in a beautiful and safe neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance. Breakfast was wonderful and delicious with a great variety of options. The beach is very close by, and there are lovely walking routes along the seafront. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it a very pleasant place to stay.

There is no kettle in the room or elsewhere in the hotel, making it impossible to prepare coffee or tea. For a four-star hotel, we feel this is something that should be provided. The swimming pool is also quite small considering the size of the hotel. One other point that could be improved is the smoking area, which is located directly at the hotel entrance. This is not very pleasant, as guests have to walk through cigarette smoke when entering or leaving the hotel. The smoking area itself is also rather basic, with no comfortable seating for smokers.

After reading many reviews, I reluctantly booked this hotel purely because of its location. And, frankly, I wasn't disappointed. Its strategic location is unbeatable, offering immediate access to a lovely beach walk, various eating areas, and much more. I spent five nights here, and every day I realised why Suisse Hotel seems to be missing out on consistently high ratings. First impressions count, and the reception is the immediate tick or cross for any hotel. I was impressed by my first interaction when I was checked in by Asma, who was very professional and clearly doing her best to remain calm despite the obvious workload and pressure. Unfortunately, I can't say I experienced the same level of efficiency from the other young ladies and gentlemen working different shifts. Perhaps this is one of the areas where the hotel is losing points and failing to achieve higher ratings. I'll leave that for the management to figure out. :) My sincere admiration goes to the hardworking breakfast team, who always seem so alert, attentive, and willing to help. I've witnessed many occasions when they approached guests to offer assistance, especially elderly guests and anyone who seemed unsure or in need of help. I was very impressed. The breakfast is very generous, and my biggest salute goes to the lady behind the scenes who makes those scrumptious, freshly baked breads—otherwise known as Harsha. Finally, I'd like to express my immense gratitude to Jihan and Simohamed, who are in charge of the hotel housekeeping, they take their jobs seriously and consistently go the extra mile to ensure that guests are satisfied. Overall, Suisse Hotel has an unbeatable location and some genuinely excellent staff. With a little more consistency in service across all shifts, I believe this hotel could easily achieve the high ratings it deserves.

The bathrooms especially could benefit from an upgrade and some renovations.!

The staff were attentive. I first arrived and checked in right away. The room missed towels which they sent right away after I called them. The balcony has two glass doors which keeps the room well insulated. The bed is so comfortable.

The breakfast was mediocre, and it would've been better to skip it and eat outside. There was no shower gel on the first day, however they sent it the second day.
