I liked very much how nothing was too much trouble to help.

I cannot find a single item that I didn't like.

Locatiin, Parking and Breakfast

The furniture is from the 1980s. A lot of potential, but needs upgrading.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was great too. Could have done with some pastries for people who don't like a cooked breakfast. But they did give my husband extra toast. Bed linen and towels nice and clean.

Toilet didn't flush well. Shower was just an over the bath type which had a broken wall fixing. Pillows and mattress were too hard for us personally. Too much outside noise so had a lousy night's sleep but the hotel is situated next to the road. Not their fault. Could have done without the windchime though! 😄 Not enough parking spaces. So we didnt want to drive anywhere in the evening as we didn't want to have to park in the limited street parking on return. This is because you can only do it until 8am.

Dated but clean & functional room, with TV, hairdryer (unfortunately didn't work), kettle (also didn't work) and towels.

While the room may have been just about adequate, the parking situation was very disappointing. The listing promised free on-site parking, but the car park was full upon arrival and there was no space on surrounding streets (which are all 'permit holder only' between restricted hours). This resulted in me driving round for 20 minutes searching for parking, and ending up and having to park a distance away. When speaking to a member of staff about this upon arrival, they were rather dismissive, simply suggesting I should have blocked another car in - which would require me to be disturbed in the morning to move my car. Future guests should be aware that on-site parking is not guaranteed.
