Staff were very welcoming and let us park (free) before check-in. Room was clean and airy. Fresh milk was available when I asked. Location close to town centre and train station. Good menu choice at breakfast.
Breakfast was not very well cooked, items either under or over done. The building is very old, so the floorboards were very creaky.

Great location, right in the middle of Huntingdon. Welcoming staff.
The entrance, bar, communal areas and room were very tired and a bit smelly. I understand the building is very old but that doesn't mean it can't be decorated occasionally and kept in good repair. The sash window in my room didn't work properly (the bottom sash I had to prop open with a teacup to stop it simply sliding closed) and the shower rail had been broken and was shoddily strapped together in one place with plastic zip ties. The room had a stale odour and felt musty, it and the rest of the areas need a deep clean and redecoration. For the price this was a poor experience.

Our stay included dinner and breakfast, both of which were excellent and made the overall cost of the one night stay for a meeting good value and made us happy to overlook the tired decor in the corridors and en suite. The hotel is very conveniently situated for local amenities and motorways. 24 hours of free parking for residents was also useful. Staff were lovely and doing their best in the extreme heat, we struggled with the heat overnight, but a fan was provided.
The communal spaces (function rooms) looked great, but the corridors to the bedrooms were very tired and in need of updating, our en suite shower whilst clean, was very much in need of a refresh. However, it's an old property and I appreciate requires continual investment.
