Lovely comfortable room which has obviously been refurbished. The one member of staff I saw was friendly and helpful.
The threats of charges if you don't follow their rules. I arrived by bicycle 30 minutes early and waited in the lobby on a rainy day because it was likely I would be charged £25 for going in before time. £10 for removing the water bottle which I had no intention of doing. I get that people take liberties but it's not a good look.
No possibility of getting drinking water from a tap. This was a problem for me because I couldn't replenish my bicycle water bottle.

Very clean and handy for the beach.
Messages and comms about entry worked well.
Disappointing breakfast tray left out on arrival.
Unstaffed building is rather dispiriting though I understand why hotels have to cut costs to survive.
