The hotel is located in a vibrant spot of Cairo within a walking distance to many locations (if you prefer to walk). There are two metro stations close by with different metro lines available. The staff is very helpful and kind. The room is good and perfectly falls in the category of affordable stay not necessarily a luxurious stay. Safety was not an issue but you have to be careful with extra attention, you know, you are in Cairo. No hostile incidents at all.
Might be a little noisy at night. The hotel is located on a very busy streets full of markets. This wasn’t an issue for me.
Be careful when you take Uber or Careem (a taxi app). The drivers can change route to increase rates so easy. No safety issues though.
