The whole rental process was exceptional. The rental company kept us informed on check-in, supplies needed, beach information, and check-out procedures. The house was perfect for our family--6 adults and 5 children (and 2 dogs). The house was very close to Harry Teeters grocery store which made shopping very easy. The accommodations were perfect--2 refrigerators, washing machine/dryer, 4 1/2 baths, showers on ground level next to pool. It was easy to rent beach and pool accessories and a highchair. The house was clean when we arrived and the only thing we had to ask for was a new propane tank for the grill. It was an easy walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend this house for a great OBX vacation.

Really enjoyed our stay at Beach Dreams. Comfortably fit 8 adults, 2 children, and our dog. The property is well maintained. We visited during a really hot week and the upstairs A/C had trouble keeping up during the afternoon and early evening, but at night, it cooled right back down.The outdoor areas of the house are really well laid out and the double shower was a nice touch. Plenty of places to sit whether you are on one of the decks or in the pool area. The house itself is well kept and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of windows allow plenty of natural light when you want it, but there are plenty of shades/curtains when you want to keep the sun out.The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need to prepare and eat virtually anything. Even had a crock pot!Beach access stairs: 17 steps up to the landing, 24 steps down to the beach.

Great location. Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Many of the skillets and pots need to be pitched, they either had burnt on food or the coating was coming off. A gate would be helpful on main level if traveling with toddlers. We had a blind dog and had brought a gate but could not use it there so we just blocked the stairs off. Also mats needed at outdoor entrances to wipe your feet so you are not constantly dragging in sand. Hulu live TV was not working on several of the TVs. I sent an email and a guy came over to look at it but told my husband that we had to sign in with our Hulu password. He needed to sign in with the rental property's login credentials not ours, he did not understand how Hulu works. We enjoyed the pool and the grill. The walk to the beach was very short, maybe a city block. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Beds were all comfortable.

We stayed three weeks at this property and loved every minute of it. It was very well stocked with cookware, plates, glasses and utensils. Pool was perfect! We wanted for nothing. It was about a 2 block walk to the beach and involved 53 stairs there and then 53 steps, not for any that is disabled. It is in a key area for food shopping, bars, donuts and ice cream. The house fit 9 of us comfortably. The decks were amazing and everyone could have personal space if they needed it. Beds were comfortable and rooms spacious.We will return next year!

Very nice experience!
Bedrooms, bathrooms and common spaces were great! We really enjoyed the pool area and proximity to the beach!
My only challenge was I needed to clean a bit upon arrival. Lots of glass surfaces (dining table, living room tables, etc) were still fingerprinted and didn’t feel as clean as I would have liked.

Our family gathering was great - house was comfortable and roomy enough for all 12 of us. House supply was more than adequate. Short walk to the beach even for the 8 year old down to the 2 year old. Dual outside shower's were a hit. Pool was a hit - Beach and low tide with lifeguard was great for the little ones. Even surfing was great - Only downfold was did not look like the place was vacuum before arrival dog hair everywhere even on bedspread - had to wash then, rolling dust balls everywhere - again had to vacuum. but that was okay as the house itself was fabulous. would rent again and again

The only feedback I have is to add a couple box/ floor fans as the two smaller rooms did not have a lot of air circulation and seemed to stay warmer than the rest of the house. We enjoyed Beach Dreams. The house was very nice, well kept, and was as presented. Close to the beach and convenient to everything we needed. Large enough for the five of us with plenty of extra room. However, we were disappointed with the service from Beach Realty. We asked for an early check in, and I don't feel that we were adequately advised that this was not available before we arrived early. We were told that we'd be called when the cleaning crew was done (we arrived at one and the crew told us they were "almost done"), but we were not, so we were not able to enter until regular check in at 4pm. The dryer failed shortly after we arrived,and we were told that someone would come and take a look at it. No one ever showed, and there was no follow up to tell us why. We kept finding remnants of prior renters, like baby bottles, clothing, and food articles, tucked in corners and between cushions during our stay. Since we were not told that the cleaning crew was finished before our 4pm regular-time arrival, we assume they were not rushed, so we were disappointed with the cleaning. I think the property owners should be commended for the care they clearly put into this house, so I'd still recommend it to a friend.

Had a lovely vacation and house was great. Kids loved the pool and close walk to beach. I have two young children and unfortunately this house is more for adults rather then kid proofed. Also, the AC units had trouble keeping top level cool.

Great place and location, loved the vacation. I found the lock very difficult. Unable to get into the house when it was checking time (the dead bolt was on) Service man cam out and help. The problem was, when my husband called to info the company of our problem, the women informed him he should go out to eat dinner. What is that! Crazy and it just made him more upset. UNPROFESSIONAL I would have loved to had another set of towels in the master bedroom. Great vacation, thanks

Nice kitchen and master bathroom but was not as clean as it should've been for the amount paid to rent . I went to buy Clorox wipes and deodorizer for the master bathroom and kitchen to wipe it down again and get the "musty" smell out. I don't normally criticize houses that I rent but I was disappointed as far as the cleanliness goes. Loved that it was very close to the beach and it had an awesome pool .

This home was everything that I expected it to be and more! Loved the spacious pool area. Hot tub was a hit! A short walk to the beach was great as well. Absolutely wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked, the proximity to the beach is fabulous, and the property is well maintained. I would mention that it isn't very kid friendly for little ones. For example, there are lots of breakable knick knacks around the house, there is no gate from the deck leading to the pool area, and the top floor deck has wrap around bench seating without a safety rail.

The property was as nice as it is pictured on the website. In fact, it included far more impressive showers than was pictured online (the master bath has a stand-up shower with multiple shower-heads). The property was clean and well equipped, with many kitchen utensils available. Some frustrations we experienced included the sound of the fan in the master bedroom, which has a disturbing, rhythmic noise to it - we spent the remainder of the vacation in a lower bedroom. The living space furniture was very uncomfortable, and not nearly large enough for a couple to lounge on together for any significant length of time. The keyless entry code that was forwarded by email to us prior did not work, prompting a need to call the rental office to get the code. Other frustrations, outside the control of Kitty Hawk Rentals, included noisy, immature neighbors that were loud late into the evenings, and illegal fireworks being set off, also late at night, by other nearby neighbors.

The walk to the beach is advertised as 50-100 yards, when in actuality it is 250-300 yards - a big difference when you have 2 small kids. Overall it's a great location, and the interior of the house was great. The pool and grilling areas were enjoyed as well. As for the service, the house was not ready until after 5pm, and when we got there after being notified it was ready, it had not been cleaned and we had to wait another hour. We found 4-5 maintenance items and notified them Sunday, but no one came out to repair (we notified them daily) until Thursday. That was disappointing, but the stay was still a good one.

Beach Dreams was a short walk to the beach and the outdoor space was great. Loved the shaded picnic bench area by the pool. We spent most of our time outside. Lots of deck space for our teenagers to lounge on when we were not on the beach or in the pool. We would definitely stay here again!

The house fit our needs well. Large top floor gathering space was great as we had a large group. It was very hot in OBX the week we stayed (heat index in low 100's a few days). The A/C was set at 70 degrees but typically that top floor at the height of the day & early evening was reading 79/80 degrees. Middle floor, where all but one BR was located was very cool. Pool area is very nice/large with plenty of lounge chairs. Two gas grills came in handy as we used them to cook dinner twice during the week. There was a charcoal grill also but we didn't use it. The condition of the home was good and cleanliness was good as well. A direct and short walk to the beach access was nice. Location is across NC Route 12 from the Harris Teeter shopping center so access to groceries, Duck Donuts, Starbucks was an easy walk (0.5 miles walk). I would recommend the home for vacationers in OBX.

We loved the house and the pool. Our only complaint was the stairs. As the stairs turned, the landing was too narrow. We wondered how this was acceptable for building codes? Although we loved everything else, we're not sure we would book again due to the stairs. An elevator would make it an easy decision.

The house was really nice with a great outdoor area and pool. The only downside was that we went in mid-June when the weather wasn't as hot and the pool isn't heated. Otherwise, the location is great along with all of the amenities. I would definitely recommend renting this house for a family vacation.

Excellent. The overall comfort and experience at Beach Dreams was great and enjoyed by our entire family. The design of the house and positioning of the rooms were perfect. Loved the sliding door access to the decks and pool from all rooms on all levels. The size of the pool was a great plus and the amenities inside and outside the house were spot on and responsive to our families needs.
The only drawback was the inaccuracy of the distance to the beach. Wasn’t’t bad but was a 200 yard flat walk and the steps leading up and over the dunes were steep. Just EHD to call it like it is. You deal with it each day.

Property was clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfy which is not common at most rentals. All necessary items were supplied. Pool and spa was a great addition to our family vacation. Short walk to the beach. beaches are very clean and family friendly!!! Only negative was the smoke alarm started going off in the middle of the night for no reason and we had to call 3 times in order to get them to send someone out to repair it, however they did have it fixed quickly once they arrived.

Everything was great! This house was clean with great amenities and location. The pool was clean and such a huge hit especially with our golden doodle! Thanks for being pet friendly.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home. In fact, we all agreed it was the best home yet we have rented in OBX. We do hope to be able to return again.
One thing though, we called Beach Realty to report that the lighting fixture from the ceiling in the back bedroom on the 2nd floor would not work. There was an exposed light bulb only, no fixture and it flickered from time to time. We reported it twice upon arrival and were told someone would be out, however, no one ever showed the entire week. This would not have been a problem had there been another lamp or something in this bedroom. That was the sole lighting for the room. Kind of disappointed with the repair service and the lack of no one calling back and checking on the call.

The pictures represented this property well. Communication from the staff was appropriate and well timed. Our welcome sand bucket included birthday candles for the "responsible" person on the contract-an extra special touch. The water temps for two of the showers didn't work when we arrived but management got it corrected quickly. Plenty of seating to enjoy the pool area and both decks (would suggest adding a gate to the first floor deck on the street side). So great to have the extra refrigerator in the sun room! Everyone wants to visit again!!

This home was everything that I expected it to be and more! Loved the spacious pool area. Hot tub was a hit! A short walk to the beach was great as well. The kitchen was stocked as if you were home, everything there that you would need! Overall, my family had a fabulous time (even with hurricane Irma lurking). Close to everything.
