Veri conveniently located next to a bus stop, this Ryokan is really private and comfortable. We stayed in a room with an open air bath that had a great view to the river and the mountains, but it was really good to also have the option to use the open air bath in the roof.
Room was clean and comfortable, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. They also accommodate it to consider my wife's allergy to shrimps, which was really appreciated.
We planned to stay just for one night without knowing that there were a few interesting places we would have loved to visit, like the Hida Limestone Cavern or the Shinhotaka ropeway. We will definitely return to check those off our to-do list for the next time.

A very thoughtfully designed ryokan with all its associated luxuries. The room is spacious with tatami floors and equipped with two natural onsen. We also thoroughly enjoyed trying the rooftop onsen that can be booked for private use. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent and a memorable experience.
The immediate location does not have much to offer. We arrived an hour early and chose to read in the car as there are no nearby benches or parks for a walk. The hotel looks very unassuming from the outside. Neither of these matter much however as one does not really need to step outside once checked in. There is a road under the balconies which is not too busy but still affects the feeling of being fully in nature.

Ther roof terrace pool.
The location near main street.The place could benefite from some renovation.The place doesn’t look like a proper onsen ryokan but more as a regular hotel.
