- staff : There was a young man with glasses at the reception desk that was fluent in English, really nice, and helpful in providing me bus information and recommendations. They also stored my luggage after check out for the day while I toured the area.
- the bus stop that takes only to Foggia, Saint Michael and the local bus that takes you in front of the sanctuary is about a 3 min walk from the hotel. ( however fyi the stop that drops you from Foggia is on another street about 10-15 min walk up a hill, north and south bound bus stops to and from Foggia are not on the same street, different streets).
- decent WiFi connection.
- there is a lift/elevator.
- hard beds, and room was outdated. AC was really cold, tried to increase temperature, but I don’t think the monitor was working. Bed sheets were really thin, to were it was so uncomfortable and cold to sleep at during the night, I had to check out the next day and go to another near by hotel in Foggia.
- The bus stop arriving to San Giovanni from Foggia, drops you near the sanctuary, which is about 12- 15 mins to the hotel. The negative about walking to this hotel is that there is this very steep hill downwards to get to this hotel. It was challenging for me bc I had my elderly mother in her late 70s that had trouble walking down this steep hill plus we had heavy luggage. At night time, there is no lighting in this dark hill so it can be a bit scary, so to avoid the hill, we had to walk around town on main streets only and that was about an extra mile of walking just to get to the hotel.
- location of hotel is in the middle of the San Pio Sanctuary and the downtown area, so walking to either sides can take you about 15 mins to either downtown/ or the sanctuary.
