The location was one of my favorite things about the hotel. It was incredibly serene, quiet, picturesque and quaint, with a very authentic Turkish character and energy. I really hope the hotel keeps this, because it gives the property a lot of charm and makes it feel very different from a generic international hotel. A taxi would cost you 400-500 lira into town each night (about 6-8 euros) which I highly recommend doing! I also really enjoyed the spa facilities. The hammam was beautiful, although it would have been even better to have someone available to provide a traditional Turkish hammam experience that would lift the level of the hotel instantly. The sauna was excellent too. The massage was particularly good. I had quite a lot of pain in my back, and the Indonesian therapist was amazing she genuinely helped relieve the pain. Top marks to her. The prices are too high though always at hotels all over the world. The global institutions of hotels need to improve in this in every country not just this hotel. The pool area was peaceful and relaxing, and the food and drink options around the pool were good. Overall, the hotel is a lovely place to switch off and relax. I particularly liked talking to the guy with slick back gelled hair he was always very friendly and even gave me some grapes off the trees!
The main area I think could be improved is breakfast. I liked its traditional, almost “from the back garden” Turkish feeling, and I definitely wouldn’t want the hotel to lose that authenticity. However, for a hotel positioned at this level, I expected a little more variety and some international breakfast basics alongside the Turkish offering. For example, scrambled eggs were available but carried an additional charge or Turkish ones (which I tried once and it was very nice); but I don’t think should be the case at breakfast. It should have been included. It would also have been nice to have poached eggs, different styles of boiled eggs, a toaster, croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice and a wider selection of fruit such as bananas and strawberries or kiwis. The yogurt selection was also quite basic, with essentially just plain yogurt. The honey was nice with this though so made up for it! I think a slightly broader selection of Western and perhaps Asian options would make the breakfast more suitable for international guests without taking away from the hotel's Turkish identity. Based on my experience staying in many four- and five-star hotels internationally, the breakfast offering currently feels closer to a good three- to four-star level. It tasted very garden like and organic which I loved! Finally, the internet needs an upgrade to a fast wide spread internet service across the entire hotel, not one that floats on and off all the time. This was particularly important for me being a digital nomad.

We had an amazing stay at Antmare Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect – just a few steps from the heart of Alaçatı, with all the best cafés, restaurants, and boutique shops nearby. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and very well maintained. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and tastefully designed. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of local products. The swimming pool and garden area were peaceful and relaxing. What impressed us the most was the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. We truly felt welcomed and enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Location. Alaçatı itself is packed in July, and staying just outside it turned out to be the right call. The hotel sits right by the sea, far enough from the crowds to be properly quiet, and still close enough to get into town whenever we wanted. Facilities. The hotel is very well built and very well maintained, and the standard of cleanliness was excellent throughout, in the rooms and in the common areas alike. Nothing felt worn or neglected at any point. Staff. Attentive from arrival to check-out. They were friendly, always available, and quick to help without ever being intrusive. Over the course of a longer stay this makes a real difference, and it was consistent every single day. The pool and the deck. This is what the hotel does best. The pool area is relaxing and well laid out, with music playing through the day, so it has an easy, unhurried atmosphere rather than a silent one. It is the kind of place where you can settle in for the whole day, which is exactly what we were looking for. If you want a restful stay in a well-run property with good facilities, this is a very good choice.
Drinking water. This was the only hotel that charged for still water (other hotels did not or limited amount of free bottles per day). In July heat water is not a discretionary purchase. The spa. Neither the jacuzzi nor the indoor pool is heated. An unheated jacuzzi is not a cooler jacuzzi, it is simply a small pool, since the temperature is the whole point of it. The result is that a genuinely nice space sat unused. Beach services and water activities. The hotel has no beach of its own, only a deck, so beach chairs and towels to take to the nearby beaches would be very useful, even as a paid service. There is also little to do in the water on site, snorkelling gear, for example, free or paid, would make far better use of the setting. Breakfast. The fruit was the same three every single morning: watermelon, melon and orange. Both melons are excellent in July, so this is not about seasonality, it is that nothing ever rotated, in a month when figs, apricots and peaches are all at their local peak. Eggs were limited to boiled only, which is unusual for a Turkish breakfast at this level.
