Great place to explore lake Como

Wonderful location, excellent service, outstanding stay overall, would 100% book again

Hotel owner and her staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Included breakfast is an absolute delight, especially their freshly baked croissants, both plain and apricot filled, and their homemade jams! If too tired to eat out, their evening food is absolutely delicious, they source their vegetables from a family-owned farm nearby. Facilities are clean and appropriately sized.

Queen sized bed in our annex room was actually two twin beds pushed together, so a bit uncomfortable if you like to sleep in the middle of the bed. Shower head arrangement in the annex rooms are a bit strange—easy to make a soaking mess of the bathroom if you are not careful!

Great location to be based to enjoy all the area has to offer.

great location - beautiful view across the lake. Onsite parking was important to us. great breakfast on their beautiful terrace. friendly staff. rooms were clean and very comfortable. a great place to base yourself. restaurants a little scarce nearby but there were a few. highly recommend. would stay there again.

Absolutely perfect

Absolutely everything! wonderful hosts, spectacular review of the lake from my room, a spacious room with a balcony, a refurbished bathroom. Seriously - this place was just the best!

Fabulous views, friendly staff and central location

This is a friendly, charming, family-owned hotel. The views of the lake are fabulous and it's a 10-15 walk to restaurants, a pretty waterfront park, shops, the fancy Grand Hotel Tremezzo with its chic waterfront bar, the Villa Carlotta and gorgeous gardens, and ferries to everywhere on the lake, including Bellagio and Varenna (must sees). Our Junior Suite room was huge with a spectacular frescoed ceiling and wrap-around terrace.

There is a busy road in front which is unavoidable when located on the lake as the mountains rise steeply from it.

A beautiful room with a jaw dropping view. We loved our stay, thank you.

We loved our stay here! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the view from our room was sensational. We actually stayed and extra 2 nights because we loved the location so much. A beautiful hotel and room/facilities were superb. Definitely would stay again and recommend to friends and family. Breakfast was awesome as well.

Loved the staff and the hotel itself. The room was large and comfortable. The patio, pool and terrace are relaxing and where we wanted to be.

The bedding could be updated, but not a deal breaker.

A very nice stay in beautiful Lake Como

We enjoyed our time at the lovely villa. Breakfast was nice with a very attentive staff...we especially loved the lattes each morning while sitting on the terrace. The covered roof above the tower has pretty views of the lake.

Very pleasant and memorable

The views from the property were lovely, as was the breakfast. The staff were very helpful with dinner recommendations, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room had a lovely little private terrace with table & chairs which was a lovely surprise.

Proximity to the road, but we knew this going into it and we didn’t notice it in the evening. We noticed it’s quite common for the hotels in the area too.

Fantastic lake front hotel with so much character and charm

This is a wonderful little hotel with a lovely pool area and amazing views across the lake . The staff are lovely. We could not have wished for anywhere better to stay .

Spectacular!

This isn’t a hotel, it’s an experience. The staff is phenomenal. The villa itself is something out of a movie, from the terrace up the tower to the breakfast area and pool which have the most amazing view of the lake in the background.

Charming and chic little hotel, perfect for couples

One of the best hotels we have visited in many years. Beautiful view, right on the lake, comfortable and very clean everywhere. Utterly charming. Staff are so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the annexe by the pool and it was perfect. The rooms are set back off the road and have excellent double glazing so you can sleep fine

Only 1 point: 10am checkout is a bit tough to make on the last day. Be aware that, like the vast majority of hotels close to the lake on that side, it is located on a main road so there is traffic noise BUT it is a little higher up and honestly it doesn't really disturb you as the hotel has such an incredible view.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The room was lovely and the view- don’t get us started! The staff were so sweet and loved the breakfast in the morning- the cakes they make were such a nice touch. Would recommend this to our friends and family.

Superb

The location was perfect! Tremezzo is a beautiful area, with lovely restaurants and much quieter than the likes of Bellagio and Varenna. Many ferries go each day to other towns across the lake and the ferry port is only a couple of minutes walk away. The pool was a lovely treat after a morning of sight-seeing in the heat! The staff were very friendly and helpful always. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Lake Como!

There are no kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the room (but this was just a very small thing!) The hotel bar was open all day if we needed anything.

A wonderful place!

A beautiful location and building with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast is provided with a stunning view of the lake to enjoy. There was always room around the pool for after exploring, it was cleaned daily and the service was again excellent. I wish I could give a higher rating as I can’t recommend it highly enough!

A wonderful, warm and welcoming family hotel

The room (corner suite with double aspect balconies) was beautiful, air-conditioned and very generous in size. The staff were very accommodating, allowing us to park our car earlier (as there was space), helping us with transport queries and always checking to see if we needed anything/brining drinks to the pool. The grounds/facilities are very well maintained. Overall we had a wonderful stay - thank you!

There is nothing we would change, just a tip to try and reserve a table at the restaurants on Tremezzo as they get booked up quickly.

Warmest staff and exquisite lake views

Extremely kind and warm staff; exquisite roof terrace, breakfast views; very, very good deal in terms of price for fanciness and amenities. Hotel Villa Marie is a beautiful retreat that one can easily spend a more indoor-sy relaxing vacation or as a base to explore around the Lake Como region.

Room was a little warm for summer; key to the room was a hassle. Location-wise, the nearest ferry to Bellagio and Varenna is in Cadenabbia which is a bit of a walk from Tremezzo.

We loved everything about this hotel! Its one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. breakfast was great, pool fantastic, staff were lovely and the views are just incredible. will be back!
