Good family stay in spacious cottage

Great cottage with good facilities, good sized bedrooms and a patio. Shower was also excellent. Easy to find, check in, park and a short drive to the town. Stayed for two nights as a family.

One minor complaint was the smoke alarm was on the kitchen counter without a battery and we got no reply from the owner when we messaged about this.

Rustic, spacious cabin outfitted with everything you need!

Beautiful, rustic cottage just outside Egilsstadir. We loved the location right next to the reindeer farm and next to several other cottages. A full kitchen, bathroom and two upstairs bedrooms were clean, comfy and had lovely beds and linens. A great place to see the Aurora if the sky is clear, very dark and free of light pollution. It is also located just a few minutes from the Vok Baths which is an absolute must if you are in the area. I rank Vok and Forrest Lagoon way above the much more famous Blue Lagoon, so definitely check it out. If you bring your own food there is a nice deck and BBQ to use. I would love to have stayed another night or two, maybe next time!

We were disappointed from our stay and we think that we didn’t get proper value for our money.

The location was great. The beds were ok.

Poor maintenance, there was dirt under the sofas and there was garbage inside the garbage can. The living room floor had bumps. The owner didn’t answer the messages that we have sent him. There is a curtain between the two rooms instead of a door.
