The chateau itself is wonderful, it is really nice and beautiful setting, the nature around is breathtaking and the views are also bonus. They gave us free upgrade because we booked a “small room” and that one is apparently not in the main building of the chateau, so they arranged for us to be transferred to a very nice room. Comfortable bed and great wifi.
The water in the room was very blurry, not suitable for drinking apparently. A lot of mosquitos and bugs in the room, while comparing to the other chateau we stayed at the next night also in the area. It was really hot in our room so we had to open our windows to cool down, and then mosquitos entered so it was difficult to sleep. The prices in the bar are quite high, 16€ for the cheapest cocktail is , in our opinion, too expensive. Also, we think the breakfast price of 28€ per person is too expensive and it should be already in the price of the room. Only 2-3 programmes on Tv worked, no netflix or youtube. (Weird for 5 stars). The closet was too small for 2 of us , also in the bathroom there is no space for anything. I think they can use couple of hangers, shelves or something like that.

This is a perfect hotel. The setting is magnificent. The room in the chateau was excellent with a very comfortable bed and the staff were very friendly and accommodating with our small dog. We had the 8 course tasting menu while we were there and it was among one of the best meals we have ever had. Every course was delicious and again, the service throughout was excellent. The breakfast on the sunny patio was also lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and we have booked to stay again on our return journey to the UK from the South of France.

The swimming pool is the property highlight. Overall It’s a nice setting with great views.
I think as a 5 star hotel the options for food could be substantially better. I appreciate that the restaurant is a Michelin star so therefore popular, but I feel guests should be the priority in terms of booking a place at the restaurant being its 5 star.
If you don’t manage to get a booking at the restaurant then there are very limited options available to you for room service and given the rural setting this can create a problem.
In my opinion the rooms are not of a 5 star standard, attention to detail could be a lot higher, the decor is basic and more akin to a 3 star hotel. Over all the setting and Michelin star restaurant are doing the heavy lifting here. Despite this, the staff were helpful and nice throughout.
