Great location, very easy to walk to many of the restaurants our host recommended to us in town and to the beach down the street. Walk further along the water for the market and excursions like tours and boat rentals. Room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the AC kept the room plenty cool during our stay while it was very hot out. Complimentary breakfast was very good fruit and made to order egg dishes. Fun to sit outside and watch all the boats come and go. Would recommend and would book again!

From the moment we entered Heritage Villa Apolon, we were made to feel welcome. Situated on the waterfront, this pink-facade neo-classical villa is a talking point for passers by and a perfect Stari Grad location for sea coves, restaurants by the harbour, and the historic lanes and archaeology museum. We had room 2, the largest, overlooking the bay, which included a balcony and steps to the terraces. The room is a mix of classic and contemporary furniture and its cleanliness, the stunning views from the shuttered windows, and the little touches, for example the L’Occitane essentials, were of a high standard. There were great choices for breakfast, the service and attentiveness of the owner was fantastic, and the suggestions for evening meals, namely the one at Konoba Kokot, where we had a traditional Croatian meal, highlights the pride in local cuisine and love of the island. We can’t fault it. Thank you for the welcome. We hope to return!
