This home is located 10 minutes away from downtown, and the French Quarter area. This home is less than 1 mile from the beautiful City Park.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with plenty of parking. This ideal vacation home has newly renovated bedrooms, two baths, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, and back yard.
The spacious backyard offers a bar-b-cue grill and is the perfect place to relax, and unwind after you are done touring our city.

I was there with three other family members and based on the familial relationship each needed separate bedrooms. There were four of us so I expected to use the sleeper sofa. I was informed it was broken. I brought my own air mattress. The house is large and fit our needs. It was clean. I was glad there was off street parking. One suggestion I might have is a recycling container. The city does pick up recycling. The hosts were very responsive to my emails.

The hosts seem to be kind and professional. The locks on the doors (both the front and the rear) could use a good changing, as they were incredibly difficult to open and to secure. The house was clean for the most part. We had an issue with sugar ants trying to get into our candies, so we just made sure to place everything the counters in Ziploc bags. The biggest issues I had with the property were a lack of transparency with regards to the location, and the thermostat. The hosts should be more clear that while this home is in the Fairgrounds District, its location is right around the corner from the Seventh Ward. Our first night there, we heard a shootout right down the road, and police and EMS sirens not too far behind it. I love watching "The First 48." I don't want to be on the show as a victim. In terms of the thermostat, you spend every 10-15 minutes having to turn it back down. I get it -- electric bills are crazy nowadays, but after charging us the amount of money we paid for a five night stay, I think the hosts could afford us keeping things between 72 and 74 for the duration of our trip so that we could remain comfortable. Overall, the house itself and the hosts are great, but I probably won't book here again simply due to the location and the frustration of not being able to stay reasonably comfortable due to the climate control.
