We booked this as a base before Sarmizegetusa Regia and ended up falling for the place, wishing we had stayed longer. It is a relaxed, picturesque spot deep in nature: a big property with plenty of places to unwind, a stream beside it, cows with bells wandering past, and incredible star-filled skies at night with no light pollution. The animals are a joy, a sweet dog, chickens, ducks, and very affectionate cats that come asking for a pet (and a bite of your food). The host is lovely, let us pick our own cabin, and you can book wonderful homemade dinner and breakfast. We woke to birdsong in the morning, simply magical.
Come for the simplicity, not for luxury. Our basic cabin had no private shower (pricier ones do), but the communal showers and toilets were a one-minute walk, clean, and had hot water, so it never bothered us. There is no AC in the cabins, so it can get stuffy, and opening the door lets in lots of moths and bugs, but the host kindly gave us a fan that saved us and we slept great. Also, the access road is a long unpaved gravel track, so drive carefully with a rental car to avoid scratches.

Everything, just like last year. It's in a peaceful, magical location, the cabins are clean and roomy, the bathrooms clean. The staff is very nice, the food is plentiful and varied. They were very nice to adapt to our culinary needs. We just want to come back again and again. Our kids appreciated especially the dog, who showed us the way up to the ancient ruins.

Lovely setting, peace and quiet, clean. Perfect balance between wilderness and comfort. The gulash for dinner was home made, and the wine was delicious. Good prices too, for such a remote place.
