We loved walking around the hotel, you can see many animals and plants. The big Ceiba at the end of the property is the highlight of the hotel. This magnificent tree is without a doubt, the most beautiful part of the Shawandha Hotel.

The hotel was beautiful overall. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the location, and the facilities. Everything was clean and well maintained, and I had a very pleasant stay. And we have a visit from ms Slot..
The only thing I didn't really like was the mattress. It was one of those thin foam mattresses, so it wasn't very comfortable. I've stayed in other rooms at this hotel before and I know they have good mattresses, so maybe this particular room, being one of the more affordable options, just didn't have one. Other than that, everything was great.
