Wisemans Retreat

When we found someone to check in with, she was quite welcoming, the room etc. Was clean and a comfortable bed.

We had a lot of difficulty finding someone to check in with. The restaurant is not open yet it is advertised as if it was.

We loved our stay! From booking to leaving the retreat, everything was so seamless. Appreciate the staff for being so accomodating for me and my family. 100% recommend! We will come back to enjoy further stay and activities with the kids as we were only there for a wedding so our stay was cut short.

Wifi, however this is only due to the location - Our room had wifi but the moment we left the lodge, it cut out so we were stranded. (But outside of that, we enjoyed it)

Location and the grounds.

Bathroom shower screen was black and discolored in the glass. Access to the room was convoluted and dirty outside the door.

Close to everything. Grounds looked nice but being winter didn’t swim or spend much time in them.

Room was pretty rough with bricks missing in front of the exterior wall facade. Listing says kitchenette that you can cook in but when I brought a heat and eat meal back from across at the cafe for my dinner there was no way to heat it, also tried the onsite restaurant that said it was open and it wasn’t open - so no dinner for me. There is no locks on the inside of the room door - Travelling alone this was quite unnerving for me knowing someone could just open my door. There are gaps in the walls and in the cornice on the wall.
