The room I was assigned to initially had some problems, but as soon as I made the owner aware of this, he upgraded me to a far better room, where I was very comfortable. It was spacious and clean. The shower was fine and the bed was comfortable.
The first room I was in didn't have a mirror and it was on a different level to the shared bathroom, so not very convenient.

Room was a good size.
We stayed Saturday and Sunday night. The music and noise from the bar was very loud until late on Saturday night. We didn’t meet any member of staff. Decor was very dated.

I booked sea view.. the room was not.

The stuff was very responsive. Answered my phone call after midnight and our problem was solved in the morning.
There were no towels in our room. WI-FI is weak in the attic room.

Easy Check-in

Room adequate and clean. Cannot comment on breakfast, as not currently available.
Not a problem, very short walk to decent restaurant

The bed was comfy and the room was clean.
The window to our bedroom was faulty which meant we were kept up all night with a horrible rattling noise. I later had to stuff tissue into the window frame to try and stop the noise. I think we got about 2 hours sleep!

The location wasnt 2 bad short walk to the main town.
The rooms are above a pub which i new about when booking but thought it was just like a bar. On entrance the stairs were poorly lit and had a flashing bulb so couldn't see the top steps. The room was very basic. The bathroom door didnt close and the light didnt work so had use the loo in the dark. Also sink was tiny so I couldn't fill the kettle up . Only normal tea and coffee no decaf. Felt like it was a bail hostel. The night the bar opened was loud music till late.£90 a night is unbelievable for such a worn out place.

This was a room only booking (similar to Air BnB) in what was a Pub/Hotel. Breakfast was not available but that suited us as we were doing an event on day 1 in Abersoch with an early start and day 2 we had a nice walk on the beach before having breakfast at Weatherspoons just down the road. The hotel bar was closed and there was no food other than tea/coffee in the room which was plentiful and replenished after day 1. The room had recently been fully refurbished and was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for us and our bikes. Overall we had a nice relaxed stay in a set up which complemented our event. It was also a lot cheaper than most other accommodation in the area which was extortionate so all in all decent value for the money.
Bar might have been good but as a consequence it could have been noisy, as it was it was very quiet and peaceful. Room was on top floor with narrow stairs so getting our luggage and bikes up and down was a challenge. I'm sure however we could have stored the bikes in one of the unused ground floor rooms if we'd asked.

Our room was clean and tidy if somewhat sparse.
This hotel is not what i would describe as holiday accommodation more residential for people local to the area, when we arrived on a Sunday evening there did not seem to be any staff there ,the one person i spoke to on the phone was pleasant and helpful, unfortunately the main road from town was closed which was very inconvenient and one felt isolated in an area that seemed to have no shops or any where to get a meal or a drink,"hotel bar and restaurant both closed "we suffered no unpleasantries but i would not return to stay here again. We never met any member of staff during our stay./

Bed OK.
There needs to be a notice on the 'touch-sensitive' bedside lamp. The first time I touched it, it gave a bright flash and went out, and I assumed the bulb had blown.
Miniscule wash basin, with no plug.

Location was good!
This is not a 3* hotel! No-one living on site and fire door left open! As a single lady I felt frightened and unsafe by the constant coming and goings of other people staying there!

The bed was comfortable
The shower tray would not drain, loss tap on basin, old fashioned Tv and bar and restaurant was closed only found out on the day of check in wasn’t told at time of booking

Easy to follow text messages how to enter ( with codes) building, Lovely large bedroom ,with housekeeping topping up tea, coffee etc, even managed to fix a broken light, on a August bank holiday ' fantastic ' and a few unpleasant guests,
Will definitely book again
Only down side is the steep stairs, but if I can manage with a lung condition anyone can

Good location, VERY comfy beds! Room wasn’t completely clean (a long black hair stuck to the wall in the bathroom and bits of food on the floor). Location was ok, near a really nice beach, and about 30 minutes from the main touristy areas.
Restaurant not open and dirt in rooms.
3.0
Close to the beach and walking distance to the town.
Bed linen and towels were clean.
It was very over priced for what we got.
We were only informed that the bar/restaurant was closed the day before we were due to check in.
The room was not clean (dust in all areas), the furniture old and mismatched, lots of things broken, the beds old and very uncomfortable and we could hear people snoring, talking and showering in all the rooms around us.
Overall I would say this accommodation requires a major update/renovation.

The ovation, parking and room was good
The noise from other rooms not great, but the worst thing was the frequent smell of cigarettes through you building and even worse the smell of what was only described as weed/ marijuana !!
For that reason, unfortunately would recommend it. :0(

Witherspoon's
If you wish to Tardis back to the early eighties and experience dwelling in Bagshot Row this is just for you, particularly room (attic) 6.
Upon arrival we entered the code to open the door and was greeted by signage, “Please remove your work boots”. It transpired we did in fact, require hiking boots to negotiate the 3 or 4 floors to our eventual stop. Very narrow staircases without handrails in places, with steeper gradients than Mt Snowdon.
We made it to our high-rise room in the sky to be greeted with a belt of intense heat. No fan, just a tiny attic window. Avoiding the razor-sharp edged beams by kneeling it across the floor we then managed to share shoulders in order to reach out and suck in the outside air.
The electrics and fire safety arrangements are in no way compliant. The low beams are hazardous as my front and back of skull will testify. Bathroom was large with a great view (for those exceeding 6 foot in height), toilet was great for under 4-footed persons. HSE in my professional opinion would have a field day, if they dared to visit. Kettle required boiling on the floor, table provided sadly did not match the kettle’s cord length no matter how we tried. We never did try out the fire escape hatch ladders found under the bed.
This is not a hotel, what kind of vegetable graded this as a 3-Star. This is a half-way house for the special and unfortunate, hostel or temporary digs for workers. False advertising, picture do not match reality.
A special shout out to Witherspoon’s up the road, providing us with alcohol each night to help ease the suffering.

The good thing was the room was large spacious with plenty of room. The bathroom was clean and adequate.
What is disappointing is that this is not a hotel as such. It is more of what I would describe as serviced accommodation. Which is such a shame due to its great location. We arrived and we were met with whats best to describe some of the permanent residents outside smoking cigarettes with there tops off and its quite obvious they are either on or part of some sort of drug rehab as they have definitely been on something. The ulcer on the legs and gaunt look is far to obvious. This hotel is not suitable for a family as we stayed with our 1 year old. There was no bar or breakfast served which was made clear when we booked but that wasn't an issue as we went to weatherspoons which was just down the road. It feels as though the hotel has been neglected by the owners who don't care about the place. We certainly wont be returning. After arriving and not knowing our room number as no email had been sent explaining what to do, one of the local smack heads which is best to describe the local residents residing there rang the owner and told us what room we were in. The room was open with the key left on the bed for us. The room was absolutely sweltering which due to the weather was unavoidable however one good point is we asked for a fan and one was brought to our room by one of the residents. Curtains didn't fir the windows and the shower didn't drain but at least it was clean on the plus.

Close to town and only 1 minute walk to the beach.
Not providing breakfast during our stay

Room was clean.
No breakfast, no restaurant. Entrance area and the stairs were in need of decoration. Had to let yourself in no one to meet you. No wardrobe for clothes, hooks on the wall. All you could say was the room was clean.

Location was good and our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean . The one member of staff we saw was very pleasant and helpful.
Public areas were all closed because of covid , but felt that the stairs and entrance hall were a bit grim especially at night. WiFi was free but we didn’t get good signal in our room.

Location was good, b/fast n/a
Toilet was dirty had feacaes left in . There was a big gap under the door, fire exit left open by smokers constantly which was opposite our room and the room was absolutely freezing no heating. Was that cold we cut our stay short came home 2 days earlier.
