A wonderful example of Sri Lankan hospitality! We were looking for a relaxing getaway and our stay here exceeded every expectation. The accommodation was spacious and incredibly comfortable, while the food was absolutely delicious.
The beautiful views of the lake, combined with the refreshing ocean breeze, made this Bawa-inspired, charming hideaway the perfect setting to unwind. There was always something to enjoy, whether it was a game of chess or carrom, kayaking on the lake, or simply lounging by the pool and taking in the peaceful surroundings, with the beach only being a quick drive away.
What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely kind, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. They made it feel like a true home away from home experience, even making sure the fruit we liked was available for breakfast. It was these thoughtful, personal touches that made all the difference. It was simply too lovely to leave.
We will definitely return and highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone looking for an rejuvenating stay.

Idyllically situated away from the business of coastal Mirissa with direct views out to the lagoon and spectacular sunsets.
The property was clean, the room spacious as well as the bathroom - well equipped, comfortable and enjoyed the infinity pool.
Service was poorer compared to our other similar stays in Sri Lanka. Whilst eating dinner, one of the front of house staff was on a videocall to his family and then proceeded to show his family our family eating, orders were misunderstood for food and a takeaway breakfast was forgotten despite being offered/agreed. Overall, felt more of a home stay for its unprofessionalism rather than the price tag of an upmarket hotel.

I stayed at Atulya Lake on my own and had a truly beautiful experience. The location is simply breathtaking, with stunning lake views that create an immediate sense of peace and calm. Waking up to that scenery each morning felt very special.
The staff were exceptional. So warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. As a solo traveller, I felt very well looked after. Their care and hospitality made a real difference to my stay.
The food was exceptional, delicious, fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Every meal was a pleasure, especially with those incredible views as a backdrop.
The property was spotless throughout. My room was very clean and comfortable, and the whole environment felt serene and well maintained. There is a stunning temple nearby which I visited regularly, I also went kayaking a few times on the lake.
A wonderful place for anyone looking for tranquillity, beautiful views, and heartfelt service. I would happily return.
There was an incident where I was bitten by a dog on the road of the property, the area is so rural and dogs not very familiar with foreigners. The staff were so helpful and they took me to the hospital where I had the shots. It’s nobody’s fault, it’s good to beware of this 🙂

Leider war das Personal sehr überfordert und konnte kaum englisch.
Von SPA weit und breit gar nichts.
Zimmerservice gleich null.
Die Küche wohl die schlechteste in 3 Wochen in Sri Lanka .
Schade, ein schöner Ort jedoch wird nichts daraus gemacht.
Keine Empfehlung.
