This hotel ist very much okay for the price asked. With the price there is a free breakfast included, which makes the offer even more enticing. The rooms are fine. There is both a supermarket and a combini directly across from the hotel. Additionally there are quite a few restaurants and Izakayas nearby. The hotel is about a 10 Minute walk from the station, however is also easily reached by bus. The busses stopping nearby also run to Hongu, if you want to visit the shrines there.
The whole hotel clearly shows it age. While being clean, the interior looks like it's from the late 80s, with the wear and tear of this advanced age showing as well. The breakfast is free, however the selection is also limited. As it stands there is nothing really exceptional about this hotel which would make me rate it higher. It is just an okay place to stay, especially on a budget.

Staff were friendly and helped us book a dinner reservation.
When booking we were not aware we had to indicate smoking room or non-smoking room. Inadvertently it appears we indicated smoking. So we ended up with a smoking room and no ability to switch. Of course the room stunk but It was our mistake when booking.
