Direkt am Nationalpark gelegen, man konnte vom Bett aus Wasserbüffel, Affen und viele Vögel beobachten. Chamin ist sehr aufmerksam und ein toller Guide. Wir haben mit ihm die Bundala Safari gemacht, er kennt unheimlich viele Vogelarten ,sein Fahrer hat Adleraugen! Man kann dort auch zu Abend essen und das Frühstück ist authentisch und gut. Wir haben im neuen Teil der Cottages übernachtet.
Man darf keinen Luxus erwarten, aber die Lage ist toll!

BFC is the place to be to sit on a veranda and watch thousands of birds right in front of you.
The owner knows his birds / wildlife and is a very good guide, and his wife is a very good cook! I went on 3 safaris inthe Park, there is around 100 elephants at the moment, and crocks, monkeys, snakes, and birds, and not many people! Beats Yala in my mind. We are quite old, and to be able to just sit on our terrasse and watch 1000nd of birds was such a treat!
When we came, the place was under reconstruction with a lot of work going on to upgrade it. Our host stopped the work totally for 6 of our 8 day stay! And now it's just fine!

The view is great, you are basically inside Bundala Park.
The room is big and the staff are kind and flexible.
The worst was a mouse in the room, it came from the ceiling and even if we told them no one did anything to help us. So we slept 2 nights with his presence and noise around us. There were also other bug especially in the toilet.
I know a mouse is not dangerous but you don’t expect to find it when you pay a high price
