Great location, in the heart of old town, with charming classic decor featuring a central lift that is most theatrical. Easy check-in and check-out. Breakfast was the hidden gem—delicious food in a magical enclosed courtyard garden.
Due to adherence to its origins, some human interfaces might seem archaic to some, confusing to others.

I am disabled. The room I had on the first night had a walk in shower recessed on the side of the bathroom with no shower curtain. When I had a shower just before going to bed, result the bathroom floor became soaked and very slippy for my prosthetic limb. Room service came up with towels to cover the floor and next morning I was upgraded to a room with a safer shower. In the bathroom, Each room come equipped with 6 different Moulton Brown toiletries for one's use - not the usual toiletry bolted on to the side of a shower.
The breakfasts were lavish in a wonderful conservatory and served till 11 am. each day. What I particular liked after the breakfast service for customers were that the housekeeping staff came to have the breakfast in the conservatory.
Although pricey it worked out as £155 a night, which is cheap compared to Copenhagen and the UK, for so much luxury and right beside the Cathedral.
Being an old hotel there are various parts of the hotel which provide accessibility challenges, The main bit is that the conservatory for breakfast is accessed by a narrow staircase off the middle landing between floors.

The location is excellent and it is a beautiful, historic building. Breakfast was good.
From the exterior you imagine this will be a beautiful property, but the hotel only occupies half of the building and feels small. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are tired. We booked a double but the bed was tiny so we had to pay for an upgrade.
