Location is amazing, we loved the breakfast, too. The general feeling with the soacious halls, high ceilings and wooden furnitures gives a lovely vibe.
The room was spacious and nice but the water in the bathroom leaked outside of the tube. The sofa had stains and looked very yuck.

The Trimontium was built in the 1950s and has a classic Stalinist style of grand architecture, large spaces, and solidity. Hallways are wide, staircases are grand, and the rooms are triple the size of today’s hotels. We could see Roman ruins outside our window. The garden restaurant used to be one of the best “see and be seen” of the Bulgarian elite in the old days. The pool in the basement has Roman ruins, and beautiful new mosaics. Parking right out front. Breakfast was full and good. The young staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English very well.
It’s a bit worn around the edges, and could use some sprucing up and renovation. Some of the furniture in the room was about 20 years old. The access to the basement pool could be clearer. We were disappointed that the outdoor pool was closed (hopefully for renovation), as it was summer and hot outside.

Personnel was polite.
The experience in the spa was great.
Staff was nice, but gave me a really terrible corner room - its appearance was bad, it felt like a 30 room. It definitely needs at least some small refreshing - painting of walls, changing curtains with other which do not look 100 years old. Moreover - all night long I couldn't sleep, as there was a noise of some water pipe, or something similar - all night that noise wouldn't let me and my girl sleep.
