£49 with my own bathroom in the centre of Manchester met my needs, particularly as i only needed the room from midnight to 7am.
Yes it is tired but being realistic it is more than adequate for the price. Very friendly staff, I mean I was taken to my room on arrival and they allowed me to store my bag in my room well before check in. I would stay again if I just needed a small single room to get my head down
I didnt realize that you have to take your own towel.

It's in a good enough location, a good stroll to the town centre or plenty of bus options. Checking was very brief.
Sounds superficial but the staff could have at least feigned being pleased to greet me and make sure I found my room comfortably. It felt more like I was checking into a seedy motel, no questions asked.

Staff was friendly and helpful
The property was overheated and struggled to turn the heating off. Wrong timing of the heating at this hot weather.
