This is the smaller of the town's two main hotels and seems more welcoming .
Close to the Lappstaden -a surviving Lapp village still used for Sami festivals - to our mind this is Arvidsjaur's key attraction
Summer is the low season. No hotel restaurant (except breakfast) but others nearby within a few minutes walk..

I cannot fault the hospitality of the staff, they were some of the most welcoming and helpful people I've ever met.
The room was large and comfortable with a bathroom to match it.
A lovely breakfast to start off the day with a selection of drinks.
Fuel station near by for the car and plenty of shops just beyond for a look around.

Is more expensive than I would normally book but it’s worth it.
No restaurant (but nearby choices).
Did not appreciate the fact that soms other guests suddenly entered my room convinced it was theirs. You could not lock from the inside.

no curtains in bath room, balcony behind batroom window...straight view to toilet / shower.
not nice
reception was not open when we arrive ( was suppose to be), we had to wait
personnel gave no information and lodge services like sauna etc
