The room was very clean, the bed linen was nice and soft. Check in was easy.
I booked a room with 3 beds for me and my mum. I had phoned ahead and added a note when booking to let them know we would arrive at breakfast time after a very very long journey and we needed the room to sleep in just until lunchtime. When we arrived, they told us they only had a double bed because we had arrived late. It was a bit frustrating. Later the receptionist kindly apologised and extended our check out time by two hours, which made up for the mistake and we really appreciated that.

I didn’t take breakfast and the location was good. It was next to the train station.

Nice location for getting around and close to the main railway station however see below for poor Location score. Room very nice. Comfy bed and clean bathroom. Lift worked OK and fast. Breakfast was lovely. We were able to store our bicycles in our room.
Surprised to see soldiers guarding the railway station; they are there to protect the jewish community who live there when I asked a soldier patrolling. Noise from early morning construction traffic; I have emailed the contractor Heylen Vastgoed direct complaining (Copy sent to IBIS Hotel) - see below:

I stayed at Hotel IBIS Budget Central Station in Antwerp (along Lange Kievitstraat) and my wife and I were disturbed / unable to sleep by construction traffic clattering and bleeping by delivery lorries at 5 am until 7 am on Friday morning 21/8/2026. I understand this is breach of Belgium law. Article 561 of the Belgian Penal Code says general noise and nighttime disturbances are prohibited between 10 pm and 7 am. Other guests were complaining as well . The hotel receptionist said her IBIS Hotel management have complained to you about this but this has been ignored as was told government workers are exempt??? I find this difficult to believe especially from a reputable company such as yours.
Can I please suggest you let your contractors/ sub contractors to be more considerate.
