Shymbulak Resort Hotel

Amazing location. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. Elizabeth from the reception took effort to explain to us, most of what we were curious about. The sauna was really nice, and my son had a wonderful dip in the heated pool. Overall the stay was fantastic! The location of Shymbulak is amazing for a stay for trekking to the mountains and glaciers around the region.

Everything was great! Not many complaints.

The staff were incredible. They are professional, kind, hospitable, attentive. I forgot the names of the staff: Daniel was incredible. Inzhy was also exceptional.

I liked everything

The location is fabulous. Room size was great. The staff at reception were lovely. Breakfast had something for everyone in our party.

Very expensive for the hotel and food considering what you get. You are only paying a massive premium on everything just for the location. ( Which is amazing) The hotel is surprisingly run down. Once you pay $25 per person for the chair lift ( the road was closed for maintenance) you are isolated to the facilities of the hotel. The restaurant service was non-existent. It wasn't at all busy but seemed to be running on skeleton staff. The food was variable in quality and it was a standing game as to see if the meal you ordered was the meal you eventually received 😁. After about 5.30 pm all the other restaurants on the Mountain close so you have no other choice. We had a suite with a sauna that needed repair on day 2 and the shower never got warmer than body temperature. If this was a budget ski lodge, all this would be totally cool, but the room for 3 nights cost more than 10 days in better hotels elsewhere. It's ALL about the location.
