Good location and lovely hostess, but be sure to check which apartment you are booking.

We stayed in the smallest apartment under the house. This is not very big, but good for a stay of one or two days. Friendly hostess. The apartment was a bit noisy due to the footsteps from the apartments above (wooden floor), but actually we were not bothered by it (will depend on the other guests though). Good base to explore the area around Vik.

The general photos from the main page on booking can be misleading as they give an overall picture of all apartments. The lower apartment is much smaller than the others and does not have the beautiful views from the apartments that are above. Be sure to take a good look at the photos per accommodation option so that you know what you are getting. If I had done that, I would have booked one of the larger apartments situated on the first floor (my own mistake, but i was too late to change it)

Great place for a couple of days just a short distance off of Highway one and Aurora countryside

I have a question very helpful and considerate.

The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but our host worked hard to fix it

Stay in a clean, beautiful, comfortable guesthouse with a very nice owner.

It was a clean and beautiful guesthouse on a quiet place. It makes this wonderful to stay here. You also can use the hottub.

This is an affordable place to stay in a good location, beds were comfortable, bathroom was lacking.

The guesthouse was a great place for us to stay during our time in Southern Iceland. The bed and bedding/pillows were very comfortable. We booked with studio apartment which had bunk beds that we didn't need so I can't speak to the comfort of those. The location was great for accessing activities and sights in between Hella and Vik which is where we spent our time while staying here. The kitchen setup worked well for our needs and had all appliances we needed. There was no coffee or tea provided though which is usually expected at any stay. The host was kind and helped us check-in late and answer our questions.

I felt the images made the property seem larger than it was, since the images featured all rooms/suites not just ours. So I thought we would have a larger space. Also the bathroom was not great, the shower shut off quickly and it wasn't very new or clean, not my most preferred bathroom experience and I don't recall seeing an image of the bathroom which might have influenced our booking, but it does the trick and is a more affordable option. Unfortunately the owners dog was not friendly, and barked/chased us as we attempted to get into our car and was quite aggressive. If you are not a fan of dogs I would not recommend you stay here as the dog even bit me (no broken skin/pain) but it was quite off putting and made my experience much less enjoyable.

if I was to stay again, I would try the above rental

the location to the falls is perfect. There are also several restaurants near by and a grocery store

The hot tub is shared with all 3 rental spaces We were on the bottom unit and at night you can clearly hear the other tenants walking around and even talking throughout the night

The location was great, in the countryside, beautiful views and very quiet, and only 7 kms drive from town with shops and restaurants.

Beautiful scenery, basic kitchen supplies, great location for touring around south Iceland, including Westman Islands. Comfortable beds.

From our lower floor, we were able to hear everything the guests in the apartment above were doing.

A gorgeous view, and also extremely handy for local shops and (especially) as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Also a very friendly and knowledgeable host, while the hot tub was a splendid bonus!

Very good

The apartment was very spacious and included a washing machine. The owner and family were very nice, open and chatty. The hot pot was lovely and it was very quiet at night.

The ceiling was at about 2 m height which might be a problem for tall people. The floor was very cold. We had no curtains on the living room/ kitchen so everyone on the courtyard, entering the house above or the hot pot could look into our apartment. The view was ok, but not as gorgeous as on the pictures online.

An unforgettable stay!

Everything was just perfect. Kitchen is well equipped (you will find everything there). Big living room, and a dining space. All the bedrooms having sinks. We love the place, the atmosphere, warm welcoming, not mention charming host and her lovely dog - Sóley. We relaxed fully. We were just regretting that we have booked only one night in that wonderful place. But we will come back - that is a sure thing. Thank you so much Bergþóra. You have made our stay so enjoyable and unique. PS Amazing view from any place - while sitting in the living room, terrace, or hot tub.

Superb

Great stay in this beautiful surroundings with 2 kids. The apartment was small but well equipped with everything you needed. The host welcomed us when we arrived and was very helpful. We especially enjoyed the quality bed sheets...

Great appartment with unbeatable views

Very nice appartment with an amazing view in a perfect setting. Warm welcome from the very nice host. Rooms where absolutely clean, best kitchen we had in Iceland. We can really recommend to stay there and will surely come back.
