The location in the city is great and the room is spacious. So is the bathroom. The courtyard is very nice with a small pool. The staff was very professional and quite patient (especially as I did not speak Spanish much).
The housekeeper was really wonderful and diligent.
The couch. It was a low leather couch that was ripped. It definitely should be replaced.
(This other is not necessarily a dislike, but a beware cause it was unexpected. In many of the establishments in Cancun - public facilities included- toilet paper does not go into the toilet. It will immediately clog the toilet. So be prepared).

The rooms open onto a lovely courtyard with a pool, covered seating areas, and restaurant serving breakfast which was convenient, delicious and a good value. Staff were very kind and we managed to communicate well with their little bit of English and our little bit of Spanish. The rooms were modest but the linens were clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The pool did not have a closing time. Children were laughing and squealing in the pool until 11pm. There was a bar/music venue on the same block that played music until the wee hours of the morning. From our room it was like being at the party; the two other rooms from our group did not hear the music as loudly. I was not able to get the hot water to work so my shower was short and cold.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very nice and relaxing environment. It was great.
I don’t have any complaints about the hotel.

The coffee is cheap
It seems that everything that is provided is also missing something. For example, there are cups and plates but no spoons, a coffee maker but no coffee.
There is a biker's bar down the road that played heavy metal very loudly until 2 am or so (on a Tuesday mind you) and could hear it perfectly in the room. I had to wear my noise-cancelling headphones to sleep. There were only like 4 people at the bar when we walked by at 11pm so I guess they want the hotel guests to hear them too.
