Beautiful impressive place done with so much taste. Excellent breakfast, clean spacious room, nice staff.
The fact pool wasn’t open, and the pool was a big reason we picked Vila Toscarinu. On booking it said 10-20 but when we arrived (it was 19:03) we were told pool closes at 19 and we can use it tomorrow. Then at 10am pool was still locked and we had to depart shortly after.

There’s a lot going on at this location truthfully that may not appeal to a lot of people. Firstly, the weekends are huge party events aka weddings, with parties for business or whatever but the hooting and hollering went on outside our window for a loooong time. It was a wedding party that offered a lot of libation, with many a loud occasion to interrupt our rest. I don’t think we’ll be back based on that and the after thought breakfast. Where was it? I was impressed by the location and grounds but that’s it! Our room had the worst AC, it was HOT, muggy and made us more irritabile plus the nonstop noise. It’s likely the owners are investors, not on site just looking to cash in on the opportunity.
I was disturbed by the “staff” help. This hotel could/should hire locals from Italy, but source from Nigeria with young adults who speak no English or Italian. Why? I cannot work while in Italy, and I pay taxes while I’m here. They don’t, I asked with a translator. The front desk helpers have very poor people skills, bent on being right (about anything) just argumentative for the sake of argument. I found this tremendously irritating. What’s even more troubling is the “artwork” around the property. Highly hedonistic….if your into that. What the message your sending with a satyre preparing to r@Pe a sleeping women?

Liked the pool and the breakfast
Did not like the decor and the canopy bed, it all seemed a bit dusty. Loud music late at night due to weddings.

Beautiful building and gardens
The room was dark, ac didn’t function, sofas torn, amenities cheap, no hair conditioner, shower tiny, hot water comes and goes. Bread in breakfast dry. Couldn’t have coffee or a drink in the afternoon. But staff was kind. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent
