The whole vibe of the room, in a traditional Dutch building - great walking distance location to and from the apartment.
The stairs are very steep stairs! you get used to it after the first 1-2 tries and it becomes part of your daily routine!

Loved the location, overlooking one of the main canals & very close to Dam Square with lots of tram routes. Walking distance to a large supermarket, spacious bathroom, cooking facilities & large living room with comfy corner couch.
4 flights of EXTREMELY STEEP & NARROW stairs needed to be negotiated with our large heavy suitcases to get to the apartment. The listing did state it was on an upper floor but I had no idea what we faced. Thank you to Cees for helping with our luggage, we could not have done it without you!
Very little room between bed and walls, which was very hard to navigate as I have a knee injury & had to walk on knees to get in & out of bed.

The property was in Old Amsterdam and overlooked a canal. It is original and old. There is a supermarket close by. The hosts are very helpful and carried our luggage to our room.
It had 16 steps x 4 to get to our bedroom (64 steps). The steps are narrow and very steep. We are seniors in our 70’s with some mobility issues so we moved after 1 night for safety issues. Booking.com did not clearly articulate this property. There is no air conditioning so quite hot.
It would have been a great place if we were 30 years younger.
