The best part of this property is the owner, Lena, and her husband. It feels like you are staying in a bed and breakfast. Lena made dinner reservations for us, gave us directions, ordered pizza for us when we wanted to stay in after a day of sightseeing. Very friendly and kind.
The view was beautiful and we loved having breakfast on the balcony. The breakfast had a nice variety of options.
The building is older and doesn’t have outlets by a mirror. The pillows weren’t great.

Love the views and the huge room. The bed was really comfortable. Bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice gift. The owners were friendly and helpful. Nice hot shower.
I prefer tea and coffee in my room, but it was always available downstairs.
The road outside is a little noisy during the day.

 This is a wonderful family owned hotel where you get personalized attention from the hosts.  The hosts picked us up at the airport at 23:30,  They booked a Samaria gorge trip. They provided recommendations for restaurants. They were so nice and so welcoming.
The hotel itself is located on a hillside just outside of town. it has an extensive garden and the grocery store next-door.
Our room was large and comfortable with a big balcony and a fantastic view of the old port.  There was drinking water and wine in the room, as well as other nice touches.

We had a wonderful full stay at Akrotiri Hotel, it is well situated with breathtaking views of Chania and the bay. Lena the hotel owner made us feel at home and was attentive to our every need, she was great ! Akrotiri Hotel made us feel relaxed and at home, I would definitely recommend staying there.

The host was just amazing, she really walks an extra mile for you. Authentic style of the hotel, beautiful vieuw and excellent breakfast on the lovely terrace. Coffee and tea with homemade cake for free all stay long. The accomodation is very convenient for travellers by car.

Lena was a great host. The room was comfy with extra things you wouldn't expect to find. Large hot shower which is nice to find in Greece. It is a great location close to the airport with a major supermarket down the road. It is a quiet location.
We travel with our coffee plunger and love to find a kettle and cups in the room but there was coffee making facilites downstairs if we wanted to walk down. Probably not suitable for anyone who cant negotiate several sets of stairs.

We loved our stay at Akrotiri! A beautiful room with a balcony and gorgeous view of the harbor. Delicious breakfast, and most attentive, friendly hosts. One of our favorite stays in Greece. We highly recommend.

We really recommend “Akrotiri” to all tourists. When you open the door of this hotel, you will feel its pleasant atmosphere immediately. Everything was up to date, wonderful service, tasty food, friendly staff, good breakfasts, wonderful views. And the most important thing is the owners - Ilya and Lena. A lovely couple who takes care of absolutely every visitor. They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. They are always ready to help with bus schedule, car rents, the best cafes and restaurants, beaches, getting around the city, sightseeing etc.
We did enjoy our stay there!!!

We had a really pleasent stay at the Akrotiri hotel. Particularly we have to emphasize the kindness of the owners. They helped us with any question we had and gave us good recommendations for beaches and restaurants. Because we extended our stay, we were able to see different rooms and enjoined every one. Every room is different, but the design is individually nice. The view over the city and the sea is fantastic because it is located on the hill next to Chania. If you want to go to the city, you can easily reach it by bus in about 10 minutes (the bus comes every half an hour until 10.30pm). We will definetily visit the hotel and the owners again.

This is a perfect stay for anyone who has an early flight out of Chania! Lena, our hostess, could not have been friendlier or more concerned that we had everything we needed. Beautiful rooms with spectacular views!

No elevator so stairs could be an issue for some. Further from city center than I expected but bus stopped right outside. About one km to nearest restaurant.

I can highly recommend this hotel – delicious breakfast with the amazing view from the terrace, clean, cozy and full equipped room, we even got sleepers and two bottle of local white wine. Thank you Lena so much! Lena, the owner is doing an amazing job! She is cheerful and super helpful - always available for any questions. She knows how to take care of her guests – it is a pity that every hotel does not have such owners… Everything was perfect! "

We liked the fantastic view from the spacious room and balcony and enjoyed the breakfast with the other guests on the balcony also with view onto the whole town of Chaniá, the beds were lovely too. But outstanding was for us the sympathetic family: Lena and Elias speak English fluently and we enjoyed nice and interesting conversations with them. They were very helpful in any respect. (did the airport service for a little fee, gave nice recommendations etc). Good is also that you can walk easily downtown and up in about 30 minues each way if you like to walk - if not, there is a bus stop just some meters away, also a new LIDL right next to the house (in case you need it). If you like to do an organized tour to Samaria Gorge, they can book it for you and the tour bus will fetch you in front of the door.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my entire life. Lena (the owner) is the most amazing woman, she is so helpful, thoughtful, caring, loving, and super friendly. She is the best hotel owner, I guess. We met her husband and she showed us her relatives on the pictures (great history and family-owned business). The way she takes care of her guests is incredible. We have been complimented with water and wine (each day), very warm welcome and the detailed answers and suggestions to all our questions. Lena keeps the hotel very clean and neat and you have evrth needed in your room ( all the shower essentials, incl. greek produce, air conditioner, water and wine glasses, sanitizers, wifi, hot water,water, even the robes) Our room was spacious with even more spacious balcony with an amazing view (better than we expected). The breakfast was decent, at the balcony as well, so you can continue enjoying the view while indulging the local farmers products (yoghurt, cheese, ham, fresh bread, veggies, cakes,etc.) Coffee and tea are available all day. To the center you have to walk, but you can also take a taxi (which Lena ordered for us a lot). The grocery shop is next door (LIDL). We so much appreciate such a service and will be definitely coming back!

I can highly recommend this place, the host is very friendly and helpful. Akrotiri Hotel has located in a quiet area with a spectacular panoramic view of the Chania and old harbour.

This was definitely one of the most wonderful stay we had, Leva made us feel like home and also gave some amazing travelling tips. We stayed there for 6 nights and travelled around west of Crete. All of the places were very close(1h rides). Plus the Chanias old town is in 10min driving distance.

We had a room fully equipped. The view over the city couldn't have been better. Everything was super clean.

The hotel owner is great help, the hotel is located outside of the city center however it takes only 10 minutes by bus and the bus stop is located 2 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast was good and room was very comfortable.
