Very charming house, the perfect place to stay in Franschhoek!

The accommodation was great. Mercia and Wessel were lovely hosts. My room was very comfortable. I understand why they no longer do breakfast and this wasn’t a problem at all. There’s a café a short walk away, and another a little further, but still close. I recommend Babylonstoren and La Motte for small hikes and wine tasting! I took Ubers instead of the tram, which gave me more flexibility. Though the tram looked cute.

A bit of a walk into Franschoek

There was absolutely nothing not to like. The house, our room, the town, everything, everywhere you looked was pristine, beautiful, immaculate, adorable and with an eye to detail. Our room was upstairs. It was light and airy. We had a large king sized bed, nice bedding, dormir windows, bedside tables and lamps. There was a chair, an armoire, bench, desk, coffee/tea service and just outside our door on the landing, a fridge shared with our neighbors. The owner even put fesh milk in it for us all to use. The bathroom, like everything else, was well designed and beautiful. It was in a quiet, peaceful, stunning neighborhood, so our short walk to town was a delight. We had our own off street parking spot. Go to La Motte Farms/Winery for an amazing farm breakfast or lunch in a beautiful natural environment. Very reasonable. Hussar Grill (at the Marriott) for a delicious dinner, also at a reasonable price. Motherdough for a quick breakfast. Haute Charbriere Winery, for an amazing view of the Valley.
