Very nice apartment and friendly host.

This is a nice apartment, right in the middle of St Emilion with a local very friendly host. Convenient parking was available for a fee. Note that you will need to be good at navigating medieval streets confidently to effectively use the parking. Breakfast can be ordered and provided for a fee.
The apartment is up a set of starts and the bedroom itself is up another set of stairs, so travelers will need to be able to navigate the stairs. Air conditioner is located on the lower floor and, as of June 2026, there is no fan to help circulate the cool air to the bedroom on the upper floor. During the June 2026 heatwave, it wasn't cold in the bedroom, but it was cool enough to sleep.

The location is great in the middle of an old village. It is better to arrive with small car, but parking is infront of the app. The temperature in the app was superb-renovated app in the old house made of stone. Outside was 39, inside great-the aircond upstairs. Very small kitchen for cooking, but ok.
The only thing are very steep stairs to the bedroom-and the toilet is only downstairs.

The location is perfect. The outside of the house is rustic and in keeping with it's surroundings.The interior on first impressions looks interesting, however there are a number of things that need some tlc.
Toilet has no handbasin.
Shower unit in main bedroom leaked through to ground floor.
There are fans attached to the bedroom ceiling lights which were great once you figured out how they worked.
Pillows are very uncomfortable.
Second bedroom has no window and a very strange covering over what we think is a skylight window.
The scourer and brush in the kitchen for dishes were simply fit for the bin. (Thankfully I'd brought my own)
The seating in general is uncomfortable for sitting on.
Every step on the wooden staircase creaked very loudly from bottom to top and the handrail is very loose and shaky.
The house is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
