Hotel Princesa Parc Excellence

It is very smart and clean and the staff are excellent. The food in the à la cart restaurant is excellent.

I asked twice before arriving for a twin room and was given a double room, instead of being moved to twin room, they just separated the beds which made the room quite small.

The hotel and room were exceptionally clean. Reception staff were helpful and attentive, particularly the night receptionist who promptly contacted and sourced an alternative company after a private transfer was cancelled. The Louis restaurant was excellent with exceptional staff and food. The atmosphere set the tone for the rest of the day. The bar prices were very reasonable and we would certainly stay again (for a 3rd time!)

For a five-star hotel, I was disappointed by the dated appearance of our room. It was not in the same standard as our friends’ room who had paid less to stay in the four-star hotel. This was particularly disappointing given that we paid £2000 for a week’s stay. Furthermore, the absence of an iron in the room was a significant inconvenience. When I requested one, I was instructed to collect it from reception. However, I was then informed that a 35 euro deposit was required. This was unexpected as I had not been advised of this requirement and had not brought cash. I would have expected a five-star hotel to provide this facility for free to its guests.

The hotel was well positioned for the gondala. It did have lockers for your ski equipment but we paid for a locker in the first building off the gondala. The hotel has many facilities and close to other bars and restaurants in the town. The food and service in the restaurant was fantastic with plenty of choice. New Year’s Eve was exceptional; champagne on arrival a 9 course dinner then a party until 3am!

We had a room outside the lift and some people have no self awareness of how loud they are. The room could have benefited from some coat hooks.

The outside play area for the children is nice and the kids enjoyed it. its located in a beautiful area surrounded by bars with the mountain overlooking and river streams passing by. parking for our vehicle was always available. Even if breakfast officially closed at 10am, the staff always let us have breakfast till later when we woke up late.

This hotel shouldn’t be a 5 star. It is between a 3 star and a 4 star but definitely not 5 star! Personnel need better command of English, breakfast needs to be varied as everyday it was 100% identical for 1 whole week. Spa girl attendant was very rude getting angry at us for asking about the spa services because it was before 13:00 which is when the spa opens, and you cannot book with anyone unless you stay at the hotel (so you cannot place bookings in the morning) + the fact the spa is not open to use during the mornings is also not convenient (should be a 5 star remember!). The room decor had considerable wear and tear, def in need if a refurbishment (if it is to be considered as a 5 star remember!). Whenever you went to the bar in the lobby, there was a queue if 15 mins minimum to get served cos the servers are not enough or just slow. After 10pm there is no possibility of eating anything in the hotel not even from the bar, at maximum they will do you a toast but only after a lot of pleading and grumbling. SO DEFINITELY THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. IT SHOULD BE DEMOTED AND REPRESENT THR REALITY.
